Re: Quitting the bottle

Good luck Slick, Seeing kiwias days count earlier made me look up mine, turns out I've gone past 500 days. I think in the last 300 odd I would have thought I got close to actually having a drink only twice, but the realization of how much better I felt the next day - no hangover for a whole day at l...

Re: Quitting the bottle

It's interesting how I feel about drinking compared to this time last year. One thing I think I've only proper realised is just how much I was thinking of having a couple for some special occasions wasn't really because I felt like I was missing out. My drinking - well the majority of it in the prob...

Re: Quitting the bottle

Been quite a while since I posted on here. The booze at work events thing is definitely a mental barrier i struggled with last year. Having stopped in early September 2022, the xmas functions that year, and even some stuff in March felt awkward and frustrating. This year they were pretty much normal...

Never ate anything sweet before but now loving chocolate bars. Must have been the amount of sugary stuff in the booze. Mos...

It was doing quite well up to 60mph. Scary after that, it's pretty much Goodnight Vienna, though testing to 300mph seems extreme I was scratching my head as to how it would be possible to get the vehicle to such speed. Simulation with CGI. Looked pretty real though. Unless it’s launched by a rail g...

I've got an aversion to a kicker who gets his kicks charged down more than once, myself. When it actually comes back off a team mate's head though... that's fucking woeful. Yeah I'm assuming that's why jordie isn't given clearing kicks despite the distance he can get, he seems a little slow from ha...

Perofeta is currently the back up 10 behind Barrett... and I don't see that changing while Foster sees Barrett as a decent bloke who's always done the right thing when called on. I'd it Riki Swannel who did the play by play in woman's world cup final amd has done some super games/sevens tournaments since? My daughter just started primary this year, school shirts, trousers, shorts, sun hats for summer terms, school raincoat, school jumper. Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2023

Indeed. Also if its a knock on and your team gets possession and make it 1cm past where the ball was knocked on it should be advantage over. Nah, I see your point, but 1cm is hardly advantage over. Also, do you really want TMOs weighing in on a difference of centimetres? If your team gathers the ba...

Re: Supe Rugby Law - new card protocol - review?

A couple of tweaks I'd like to see for this is: Use a central team each competition weekend of 2-3 refs to watch a whole weekend of competition - this means the tmo at the game can continue monitoring play as its happening. Hopefully it also results in some consistency. Allow them to upgrade to ful...

Not his best game so far, but I reckon he'll be a very good test player before much longer.
Has a nice, sharp pass and he's a mile ahead of Christie.

Re: Quitting the bottle

Just wonder if the battle is really won when one can open a bottle and know it won't end up with lying in a gutter? I'm new to this, but not sure it's a battle with alcohol, more a war with lots of battles in it. Yes you might win that battle, but there could be a reversal if you go into battle too...
