Re: U20 Six Nations Summer Seriers

Honestly, I wasn't impressed by any of the teams in our group - they all have massive flaws that could be easily exploited by any half-decent team. Having said that I didn't watch the games from the other pool so it could be the same story there.

Re: U20 Six Nations Summer Seriers

Wonder if they'll ever implement the swiss format in Rugby. Looks pretty interesting and u20 seems like the best spot to test it. Definitely preferable to this type of group format IMO.

Would probably work well for this type of competition where all the teams are in the same location. Wouldn ...

Re: U20 Six Nations Summer Seriers

Yea this generation got really screwed over by covid. Many teams lack basic skills. Feels like the level of rugby I played in college(utterly dreadful). I hope everyone can rebound quickly.

I've had it up to here with these clueless commentators and their "strong Georgian scrum" BS... You're a decade late mate we shifted from scrum to backs about ten years ago ffs. Fuck you lot are like a bunch of girls. The July/Nov internationals will only be played in a competition format. No really big changes.

Re: Ref moaning and bitching thread

Well if we're bitching about ref's take a look at Fiji cynically targeting Georgian #8 - He was arguably the best player on the field.

Cynical no hands high tackles at 4:00' (Gorgadze with the scrum cap)

Why the apparent change - deliberate or result of changing demographics?

I'm all for different teams having the confidence to play their way well and keep some differentiation in playing styles. Forcing the oppo to deal with big lugs up-front can such the defence in so that there are more gaps ...

Re: Eddie Jones thinks England are Italy (or Japan)

These outdated myths about Georgia keep circulating every year. The golden era of Georgian forwards is gone. It started in 2003 and ended in 2015. Now it's all mobile fellows who have been through the U21 World Cup. The selection at the youth level has also shifted from Gargantuan dinosaurs to more ...

Bolsheviks helped Hitler Consolidate power in the beginning. Even their special forces were trained by NKVD. Not to mention the whole Molotov-Ribbentrop thing.

As for Stalin being Georgian, he had a serious grudge against his own country because he was rightfully seen as scum and a criminal. His ...

If Stalin hadn't been around, Soviet Union may well have collapsed into anarchy or another leader like him would have stepped up.

That's a very strong team. A very big front row, a very dynamic back row, a very exciting running back three. I'm looking forward to this.

We really should expect to thrash Georgia and we should seek to put down a serious marker we can all point to when the inevitable relegation from the 6N chat ...

I love competitive e-sports. Very easy to get hooked if you enjoy those kind of games already (I love strategy games like Starcraft 2). It’s fascinating to see the combination of skill and strategy at the top.

I realise this makes me an epic geek but I don’t really care.

There was a good ...
