Some bastard of a manufacturer has decided to put a L and a R on the new sports socks I bought recently. Now I have to spend ages making sure I pair them up after washing them and to make sure they go on the correct feet. This is causing me no end of pain and worry! Wish I could be like my son who rarely wears a matching pair of socks and doesn't seem to give a shit about it either.

I’m glad there’s another sufferer from the same sort of OCD as me!

I have a pair of hiking socks with this on it, yet am not sure what the actual difference is. Something about the padding on the sole perhaps?

... but I also obsess over putting them on the 'correct' way. :???:

Well don't buy Bridgedale hiking socks, they have the letter L stitched in the bottom of both of them. I have no idea why but it drives me mad!!!!

I bought a near metric ton of sports/running socks last summer. Can I find any of them now? My arse I can. At best there are three odd individual socks.

I have a pair of socks where one is red (port) and one green (starboard).

Handy if you put them on the right way round.

There are ten socks and ten more, both green and red in a drawer. How many do you need to pull out (blindfold) until you are absolutely sure you have a pair?

Question needs taking out and shooting. Do you mean
- 10 green socks in a drawer
- 10 red socks in the SAME drawer
?

Then you must pull 3 to be certain. Assuming they are not lefts and rights.........

That will be on the money Torq. Got a few more puzzles but they need diguising to make sure Mr/Mrs Google does not pop up the answer.
One involves Santa delivering Christmas presents. I'll keep that dry till December.

Donate odd socks to your local Zoo, they can be used as sleeping bags for snakes
