Under no pressure his distribution has become glacial, anyone receiving the ball is having to generate momentum from scratch.

No
Pretty crap by Faletau who doesn't look fit, very ponderous today.
Good impact by Sinckler so far, he's been everywhere. Happy with how Furlong and Beirne stepped things up after half time. Really very few poor performances, for what it's worth against an outclassed and rusty side who are as similar to south Africa as a sevens side...

You're right that Japan aren't near an SA side but the games ahead will do that. This will at least have blown away some cobwebs.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:32 pm Pretty crap by Faletau who doesn't look fit, very ponderous today.

Pens starting to mount now that Japan have got a bit of momentum.
Henshaw's lucky that's only a pen. The replay makes a good case for something more severe.

It was a seatbelt, nothing more than a penaltysockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:36 pm Pens starting to mount now that Japan have got a bit of momentum.

It was more than that. The arm above the shoulder was a good deal higher than we often see and did hit the Japan player in the head. He was really flying into the tackle too, which certainly ticks the with force box on the framework.ASMO wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:39 pmIt was a seatbelt, nothing more than a penaltysockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:36 pm Pens starting to mount now that Japan have got a bit of momentum.

Great footwork did him. He's not the most agile of wingers but he doesn't look a liability or anything, more than makes up for it with his physicality.
Think the issues in the first half were just a system problem too.

Only HIAs and blood replacements allow a subbed player to come back on afaik.Sandstorm wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:44 pm Lions down to 14 through injury. Can’t they bring their starting hooker back on to play 8?
