Gats might see it differently, but I wouldn't want to risk the chance of Vunipola scrummaging against Malherbe, not even one or two scrums, and if Jones gets an early knock it will be a very long day for Mako in the tight.

I really like him. He covers all back row positions to a high level (7 less so but still good there).
