Fair play, never seen it before. Seen chopped hard boiled egg mind you!!
Added to boiled potato and called potato salad?
Potato salad in Eastern Europe is glorious, potatoes, eggs, mustard, mayo and chopped cornichons. Wifey makes it regularly for me, let it sit overnight in the fridge it gets even better.
Potato salad is traditional with our braais.

Hot potato salad is a real German thing. Kartoffelsalat, sauerkraut and good German sausages is ace.

AJ and Oom's wimmen folk will add condensed milk to their potato salad.

I dig a hot potato salad with vinegar and raw onion.
Jou moer man. Potato salad must have boiled egg, raw onions, mayo and perhaps bits of bacon now and then for variety, but that's it. The worst potato salad I've had was from Woolworths.

Anyone who knows anything about potato salad knows that Cross & Blackwell is the ONLY mayonnaise that is acceptable.

My ouma use to swear by it too. I never liked the traditional Nola mayo but they have this thick ultra creamy type now that I like a lot.

I put it on with a brush towards the end of the cook time. But yes if you did it from the start it does burn. Same as honey on chicken.

Low heat, high grid and turn often. One of the most common braai errors is to braai on coals that are too hot, with the exception of steak.
