Things are slipping and can't let 2 years of Corona and war in Ukraine to get in the way of certain traditions.
So this Sat its France vs Lions for northern hemisphere bragging rights and we need a 23 taking into account current form, injuries, disdain for certain players, outright bias and trolling
Basically Ireland + a few
Genge
George
Furlong
Itoje
Beirne
Darge
VDF
Conan - Faletau was excellent vs Eng and Fra but Italy....
JGP
Smith
Van der Merwe
Henshaw
Ringrose
Hansen - Lowe has the strange long hair but rapidly receeding hairline that just looks wrong and thats enough for me
Keenan
Schoman, Sheehan, Sinks, Lawes, Doris, back up 9 is terrible choice....Randall, Sexton, Graham
Where is the traditional post 6Ns lions thread?

Fuck, if we want to up the Welsh quota just bang Rowlands into the second row.
Genge
George
Furlong
Itoje
Rowlands
Doris
Van Der Flier
Conan
Gibson-Park (Almost didn't pick anyone)
Smith
Adams (I suppose...)
Henshaw
Ringrose
Graham
Keenan
Porter, Kelleher, Sinckler, Beirne, Lawes, throw darts at a board for replacement half backs, Steward
Back row comes with a huge caveat that not many players played as much as those 3 as far as I noticed and Hamish Watson needs to do a lot more than make a shit load of tackles to be considered.

Hey, take that back! I've never been so insulted... I like fun, flowing rugby.
I did almost go for Rowlands in place of Beirne though, on current form. And I'm not even Welsh.

I'd take the English front row of Genge, George and Sinckler, with the decision on loose head being close between Genge and Schoeman. Furlong was once untouchable, but he got his arse handed to him by Genge and George - Sheehan getting split from his tighthead so easily and frequently counts against him in my book and the fancy dan stuff is immaterial if you're coughing up penalties and possession at the scrum.clydecloggie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:04 amThis.
Let Darcy Graham tour. Other than that no Welsh or Scots. Itoje can tour as well, but that's about it.
Biggar, I don't like his on-field persona one bit, but he beat Scotland on one leg, however the shirt probably goes to Aul Raisin face Sexton.
Graham on the right wing, but not many others from the ScoWAlEng sides make the team
