Yeah, suggesting it's a pass that hit the shoulder is utter nonsense, it never left his hand.

This would be a comeback greater than last year's final if LR win this now

"Advantage over" as soon as the ball leaves the boot on that one

It's actually ridiculous what Gibson Park is getting away with. The ball isn't going into the tunnel at all, just rolled at 90 degrees down the channel.

Lmao not even on the ball

Regardless of liking or disliking Leinster, it is paramount that we continue to point out how Karl Dickson is one of the worst refs around

I've got no skin in the game, but that is just nonsense, barely had one hand touching the ball.

Word. There are 3rd rate Saffer refs in the Currie Cup B division who would do a better job. Less biased towards the home side as well.

Yeah, but bad refs often decide the narrative like that. Some are homers, some just give the team on top everything, some are Alan Lewis, etc

The leinster 10 took like an extra 10m on that penalty. Great play.

I'm just used to seeing Leinster being refereed this way in Dublin, going way back.

Only Nigel Owen’s refused to be influenced in a match in Dublin. Everyone else just Homer’s unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, btw, they are a terrific side, but they do get a lot of decisions that they shouldn't

Leinster is going to walk this competition.

Using the ref excuse is just blind.

Extremely funny to call that a knock on - Porter just loses it backwards in contact, it's not ripped. An example of a baffling decision that made no difference. Leinster have been pretty ruthless, and LaR have not really had any answers.

The physical difference between the two sides hasn't been quite as pronounced today.

They are and part of being good is being good at playing the ref and pushing the boundaries.

Literally no one is saying the ref is why Leinster are winning, they are by far the better team.

I don't think anyone is saying the ref has decided the game. Leinster are superb but they get some ridiculous decisions by lightweight refs like Dickson.

I agree, but as fans we only want some semblance of consistency in what is left and what is penalised.

I was going to ask that but was embarrassed there might be a law I didn't know. Nonsense call.

Lovely try

(Very funny seeing Aldritt losing it at Dickson and trying to explain the laws to him, but LaR are totally gone here)

A couple of years ago I called La Rochelle just Exeter with more power, and I think that's still kinda true - when the power doesn't give them a match winning advantage, they actually look quite clueless.

Funnily enough Exeter are far more imaginative these days...

So, smart money on an epic Leinster/Toulouse final?

One of things I hate about the modern iteration of this tournament and numerous others in football as well is the annoying seedings instead of fully random draws.

I tried to post this before the last try but it didn't work
My prediction is that Leinster will get another ten points or so before a good few decisions go against them and it will end up looking like it was a close game by the scoreboard.

Well they don't once they've run out to a good lead, which is what happens so often.

I noted dickheadson is totally addicted to that narrative. La rochelle aren't bothering to oblige.

Yep. Ultimately a disappointing game but that is down to La Rochelle being a bit rubbish on the day against top tier opposition. Dunno if the talk about all the travel is fair but they certainly looked off the pace.

Leinster will be favourites now they got that monkey off their back in such style.

There was only really one team in that. Leinster were irrepressible. It should be very very difficult to win this three times on the trot, and so it has proved to be.

Presumably Leinster play at home in the semi?

Q for Saints or English fans, is Rory Hutchinson injured or just not selected?
