Slight positive for me to look forward to whilst heading back to London prematurely.

Clermont were brutal. I was watching some of those tackles and thinking to myself....damn that's naughty but also so beautiful. But it's great to feel that way with a W. If we lost I probably would have bitched

They had fast line speed and were shutting down the Sharks attack, quite often it was offside but it was working. Ref was giving penalties to the Sharks almost every time the Sharks had the ball in the first half, because what Clermont were doing on defence wasn't fully legal, ref never gave a team warning didn't even give a card for a no arms air tackle. In the second half Clermont got tired and from around the 50th minute onwards all their line speed was gone, then the Sharks attack came into the match.

That's some try from Benetton, from a scrum in their own half

Too good for Saints who only have pride to play for after 15 mins.

Pity those poor Leinster supporters who came to watch a match only to watch a training run instead.

Mitchell has been really poor and Smith shit the bed again like he did last week against Quins.

It is a quality stadium even if does resemble a toilet bowl from certain angles.

Leinster are making an absolute mess of Northamptons ruck ball so its slow and only option is to kick it.

Be interesting if ST get through to see both sides keeping the ball alive like this. Nice watch.

Because Blair Kinghorn moved over I've watched every game they've played since, they are like the Toulouse of old, one of the best sides to watch right now.

Yes. Been good to see Meafou and Costes getting plenty of game time. Meafou and Flament must be Fra's lock pair for foreseeable future.

Costes is the one who caught my eye, he's like, dare I say it, Sella, he's so strong.

Thankfully I'm listening to some Irish commentary and it's actually pretty balanced.

This. I've been banging on on some Fre groups that it was overdue time to pension off the likes of Fickou and Danty and bring in players like Costes and Gailleton.

Meantime, this game is much closer on the board than it's ever felt.

The scoreline does not reflect just how comfortable this has been for Leinster. Every positive phase of the game, Northampton have ben lucky to even be second best.
