Had to look him up. 18? He looks double that.

Also far too young to be getting an honour unless doing something completely extradorinary. Being very good at darts shouldn't be enough.

MBE for being good at a pub pastime! I know any number of folk who work 24/7 for months courageously in NHS during the pandemic who deserve it more than him. Honors system should be scrapped to be honest.

Totally agree... Australia has seen fit to award Scott Morrison its highest honour. That is a complete joke that just highlights the absurdity of the whole thing.

That seems like a good age
UK's oldest wild White-tailed Eagle dies aged 32

The UK's oldest wild White-tailed Eagle has died aged 32, RSPB Scotland has announced. The eagle, a female named Frisa, hatched in Mull in 1992, where she spent almost three decades raising chicks, becoming a regular on TV nature programmes.

She was the daughter of Blondie, who successfully raised the first White-tailed Eagle chick to fledge in Scotland following the reintroduction of the species in 1975.

Frisa paired up with her long-time mate Skye in 1997, with the pair raising their first chick in Mull the following year. They went on to raise 25 chicks during 28 years of partnership.

In May 2005, Frisa and Skye made their television debut on the first ever episode of BBC's Springwatch alongside their chicks Itchy and Scratchy – named by the pupils of Dervaig Primary School in Mull.

Over the next two decades they made many more appearances on the programme, as well as featuring on Autumnwatch, Winterwatch, Blue Peter, Eagle Island with Gordon Buchanan, Countryfile and The One Show.

Frisa's death was announced on the latest episode of Springwatch on Monday.

RSPB Ambassador Dave Sexton, who spent 21 years working with White-tailed Eagles in Mull, said Frisa had been "a very special bird who had touched the hearts of millions who saw her both on TV and in the wild".

He added: "As Frisa got on in years, I dreaded the day I would visit her territory and find her gone.

"Sadly, that day has come and I feel like I've lost a friend.

"She was a true icon for White-tailed Eagles and she'll always hold a special place in my heart."

Diddy is obviously playing the long game here, & planning on an appeal on the grounds of lack of a competent defense.

First his lawyers defame the alternate juror, by calling them racist, just because he's white.
Lawyers for Combs had opposed the decision, saying that Combs would be "substantially prejudiced by the dismissal" of a black male from the jury.

The juror has been replaced by an alternative juror, a 57-year-old white father from Westchester.
and then just for good measure they called the rest of the jurors lazy & incompetent to seal the deal
The judge noted that there were six alternative jurors to preserve the "integrity" of the court. "Removal of the juror is required, in this court's view," the judge said.

One of Combs' lawyers, Xavier Donaldson, objected to the judge's inclination, saying it is "very, very common" for New Yorkers to move between the city and New Jersey.

He said he believed the court is "equating inconsistencies with lying."

"I do believe he will be able to follow instructions," Donaldson said, adding that Juror No. 6 has been "awake - I can't say they all have been awake".

Report on the death of Harry Dunn and how it was handled by Northamptonshire police published. No surprises, absolute shitshow from the police, FCDO hiding their faces and pretending there's nothing to see here.

One of the astonishing bits though is how the Chief Constable's Royal Navy record wasn't checked before he was appointed.

Yep. Absolutely appalling. The minute she was allowed to leave the scene the ball was burst. Symptomatic of many modern cops desperation not to be seen as the bad guy. Sometimes you just need to be a bit of an unfeeling cunt to get the job done. She had just killed someone and as a foreign national was an obvious flight risk, fuck her feelings.

Also, stop promoting incompetent chancers to senior positions. Just about every time I see a Chief Constable on TV these days I just know they have barely seen an angry man.

Ah right.

Plenty of black artists though, and tickets are available to whoever wants them. Also plenty of festivals where you won’t see many white faces

Bruce thinks Glastonbury is a bit luvvie and middle class. Listed off other festivals that he prefers so it's probably a fair cop.

Glastonbury is there so the "Ricks" of this world can still feel they are, "Right On !!", & never realizing how disconnecting they are from the reality the imagine they think they understand.

It's become a white, middle aged, middle class parody. Instead of young kids it's more likely their right on parents that are there.

These people fawning over the likes of Kneecap and that Bob Vylan scumbag, when in reality they are the very sort despised by these artists. Going round with the Palestinian flags and waving flags about saving the planet to look cool, then leave thousands of tonnes of non recyclable shite lying about when they leave. Every time they pan into the crowd it's some middle aged twat pretending they are having some out of body experience. Its probably the worlds largest gathering of wankers every year.

Glastonbury is hell on earth. Overpriced, too many people, no water and wankers everywhere. An open prison. Some desperate guy tried to climb OUT yesterday and security staff pulled him back in!

To be fair, it’s not really a surprise that anything in Britain is overwhelmingly white. The UK is still nearly 85% white, and it’s a higher percentage in the middle classes, whore the ones more likely to be able to afford it.

I have a fairly broad taste in music and tried to watch some of Glastonbury last night but Charli XCX writhing about in obvious pain on the floor flicking hair extensions and screeching a bit and a very chubby and out of tune elderly old man claiming to be Neil Young staring at the floor did my head in! I watched Lewis Capaldi and a bit of Franz Ferdinand both of whom I enjoyed but will give the old man with dodgy hair and a croaky voice a miss today.

According to those arbiters of middle class taste, the Guardian, you are wrong about Charli XCX: To quote their five star review, it was :

"a thrilling hostile takeover by a pop star at the peak of her powers. Playing to a dizzyingly huge crowd, for many this is Saturday’s true headlining set: a bawdy and uncompromising icon playing alone with no frills"

I didn't watch any of it, but suspect that, if I had, i might have been more in your camp than the Grauniad's.

99% of her set was auto tuned and the horrific lighting was clearly designed to cover up for the fact she was miming.
I thought it took a while for Neil Young to get going but he certainly improved as the show went on. Terrific vocals and guitar for an 80 year old.

It's been appalling this year. I have a very broad taste in music but have barely managed to sit through one complete set. The 1975 have got some decent tracks but by fuck they are dull and the clown of a front man doesn't help. Great voice but just looks an idiot trying act the rebellious rocker.

I watched 5 mins of Neil Young..

I went to the kitchen and peeled my eyeballs whilst acid washing my eardrums..
My ability to remember 70s lyrics far outweighs my ability to remember what the fuck I walked into the kitchen for..
