We've gone up from 2 to 3. At least we've avoided tier 4!

Make the most of it, you have a few days
You're obviously not watching Hancock's press conference.
Massive increase in cases and all of the eastern side of England likely to be in 4 as the new variations spreads. How close to the Cambridge border are you?
The leader of Cambridgeshire County Council, Conservative councillor Steve Count, said that moving the county into Tier 4 restrictions will not “on its own” drive down rates.
We have all worked hard to keep rates of the virus down in the county and so it is disappointing that infections are now rising quickly once again, but news of the variant can perhaps explain why this is happening,” he said.
“Moving into Tier 4 will have an effect on people’s lives, but on its own it won’t drive down rates.
“We need people to do even more to break the chain of infection and stop Covid in its tracks.

Wirral - Tier 2, came down from 3 a few weeks ago. Numbers edging up again of course.

Er. I've watched Matt Hancock's presentation. We live in Oundle. In East Northamptonshire. A lot of my family live in East Anglia. Won't make a dent in our preparations as we've all agreed to stay at home.

Tier 2 in South Wiltshire for now but, seeing areas around us heading into Tiers 3 and 4, I suspect we will be heading up at least one level shortly.

Waverley's an island of tier 2 surrounded by 4, but we've just been told we're joining everyone else from Boxing Day

Yes you've mentioned where you live once or twice. So you know how quickly it's spreading in your neck of the woods and will be ready for tier 4 in the next week or so.

Tier 4 from 2. We should have been Tier 1, lowest numbers all year apart from Isle of Wight FFS! :problem:

Going from tier 1 to tier 3.

Been in tier 3 for a while now.

Tier 1, 2, 3, 4.... Who cares? The only Tier worth a F is Tier 0. Deliver the vaccine by drone or dart me through the window. Anything.

Did he mention the boxing day test in the Cricket?

Oops, sorry. Shouldn't rub it in. Our days have started getting shorter and I don't think Covid is finished with us yet either.

Yep we have been surrounded and now about to join them.

Fortunately Jeremy Hunt must have had many Christmas engagements to attend to keep us out til now.

Tier 3 - have been for a while despite being well below the National averages to date. I can see why we have been grouped with some surrounding areas - if we were in tier 2 we’d have all sorts of beer tourists infecting my favourite pubs

Anyway, have as happy a Christmas as you can, people, wherever you are.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we go to tier 4 and maybe even higher. I'm expecting to be handcuffed to the Management with enough chain to make a cup of tea and attempt to cook the turkey in the oven.

This is possibly worse than getting Covid 19 and having a restful Christmas in a Nightingale ward.

Dumfries and Galloway so go from tier 1 to tier 4 on Boxing day. Won't make a lot of difference to us, just gives us the excuse to be the unsocial sods we are anyway.

T3 awaiting inevitable upgrade.

Had hoped to jump on a ferry home to see family at distance for a week. Now looking like April at best. F*ck this.

Just as I thought. We are in tier 4 now, along with a few more millions. Won't really affect us much.
