Well Rugby Australia has new CEO. Marinos has gone from running SANZAAR to RA. He obviously pretty good as he gone from not even being on shortlist to getting the job. Either the ones that made shortlist were no good or McLennan was being a liberal with the truth again.
Hopefully he does a good job!

If he does well then we will claim him as a Saffer.

If not he is a Welshman from Zimbabwe.

Here's the thing: Straya is actually seen as a destination, not somewhere to flee from; folk arrive here by different means, hence we get to pick and choose.

So it's yeah nah Christmas Island detention for you, yeah nah ditto, nah yeah CEO of RA for you.

Fuxking Hell, in it's history of ineptitude, RA have surpassed themselves....

Did Marinos threateb to take the ball home before they even offered him the job?

I'm happy to give him a chance, but his entire career as a senior administrator so far has been defined by terrible outcomes and bad decisions.

By comparison, probably. But there is probably a 15-year old Tamil girl on Christmas island who doesn't know rugby from roulette that would make a better RA CEO than we've had recently.

It's not a high bar, sadly.
