I agree with your comment on Burke and wonder why Reece did not go for the line there.
Who was inside him that he tried to pass to? Was it Fainga'anuku? Reece trying to help him get another try and go for a third hat trick for the season? Thanks Nisbo for yet another piece of fucking annoying commentary with a random stat buried in it for that, by the way.

I have a theory you might be interested in Kiwias…
I was thinking how impressive the consistency and cohesion has been from the Saders with so many players either rested or out of position… coming on the back of two games where they finally seemed to gel and play with a more familiar level of skills and performance…
And it struck me that all of this coincides with the return of Jack Goodhue.

Yet he still runs like has two broken legs... imagine what he could be like!

What this starkly highlights is that rugby is a complex team game where systems and fitness far outweigh individual ability. In football, one player really can make a team (witness Maradonna). Flash never consistently decides rugby. Fiji and Samoa need to focus on that reality.

That running of his took him around the Drua backline earlier. Smoked them.

Hmmm. Maybe that's because most of the opponents have been weaker than in the inter-kewee matches and so they've not needed to cheat quite as much? Just a thought.

Nah.
They’ve clearly stepped up their overall cohesion and cut the error rate.

Marshall?
Going back to the incident, there is no way the Fijian was every going to make an effective tackle in the manner he approached that contact.

Agreed, Torq.
By my reckoning Bourke has 29 of the 61 points scored so far.
Not bad. Not bad at all. 8 from 9 conversions and all from out wide.
Did he kick a penalty as well? I may have missed that.

Pretty happy with that. I had worried this could be a banana peel type game but the cohesion is really building and they look to be peaking nicely at the right time. I reckon Scott Robertson might have a bit about him as coach.

Nah.. Conrad looks like Usain Bolt next to Goodhue... I am sure it's misleading and he is a lot quicker than the running in quicksand style looks... if only we could have Rieko's pace and Goodhue's brain...

Thank God that sanity prevailed over the Kahui red card decision. He is exonerated (as any Chief or former Chief should be) and free to play against the Chiefs this weekend.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/sup ... homecoming
It almost went up in red smoke, but, with a gamble at the judiciary, Richard Kahui will enjoy a happy Hamilton homecoming after all, as he counts down the final days of his rugby career.
The 17-test former All Black was contentiously sent off in the Western Force’s 61-10 loss to the Highlanders in Dunedin last Friday night, after colliding heads with Mitch Hunt.
Facing a three-game ban following initial consideration by the Sanzaar Foul Play Review Committee, and with three regular season games left in the Super Rugby Pacific season, his side struggling with injuries, feeling he wasn’t at fault, and of course with a game against his former Chiefs side looming in front of family and friends, Kahui opted to roll the dice at his hearing on Tuesday night.
“I really had nothing to lose,” he tells Stuff of an appeal which ended up proving successful and where common sense seemed to prevail, in the midst of World Rugby’s big clamp-down on head contact.
“If I had ripped his head off I certainly wouldn’t have bothered.
“I was a little bit surprised when I got the red... then I genuinely thought, watching it, I’m going to get off.
