Saw a headline about them wanting to create an A Vs P expanded "universe", is this what they actually meant?

I can’t help but think that going back nearly a century , when inhabitants of Germany Russia and Italy for example were giving a critique of their leaders , they may have hated them for being evil dictators , but at least they could legit also think ‘hmmm we are getting lots of nice new farms / roads / factories / trains run on time’ type competence. Trump and musk now don’t actualy seem capable of anything lest of all be civil to one another, literally seen toddlers in a sandpit behave better.sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 9:44 amTo quote Rebecca Shaw of the Guardian - "I knew one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down – I just didn’t expect them to be such losers".Yeeb wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:46 am Does anyone else feel like they are in a loop in the matrix and reality has taken a back step ? There are men like Trump and Musk everywhere, but we don't hear about their vainglory, childishness and desperate need for approval because they weren't born wealthy enough to constantly fail upwards. When they're not rich and able to propagandise at a mass scale, these types are largely scorned by society.
Senile, orange, incontinent narcissistic psychopath falls out with drugged up, failed plastic surgery, demonic, narcissistic psychopath! Who would have thunk it would end like this? This is a lose:lose scenario - Trump loses the backing of the Tech Bros who see what has happened to their richest Tech Bro and take a big step back whilst Musk loses money, contracts and possibly businesses as share prices dive and the vultures move in for the pickings. Ultimately the US loses out in terms of its reputation, its leadership of the Free World and its economy. In the chaos the malevolent neo-nazi racist religious zealots who authored Project 2025 will make hay and continue to shift wealth to the wealthy - the main losers will be the poor and middle class in the US with rising inflation, rising unemployment, reductions in healthcare, education and welfare. Impact on world economy ..... who knows?Yeeb wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 9:59 amI can’t help but think that going back nearly a century , when inhabitants of Germany Russia and Italy for example were giving a critique of their leaders , they may have hated them for being evil dictators , but at least they could legit also think ‘hmmm we are getting lots of nice new farms / roads / factories / trains run on time’ type competence. As Clinton put it the other day - the Courts must hold out until at least to the mid term elections, if not then the US will be lost completely! 2026 seems a long way away though, who the feck knows what's going to happen by then?
PS Tin foil hats are still available!

Specifically no but more generally yes! Flood the zone, create chaos and mayhem, keep Trump in the news headlines creating distraction after distraction whilst they continue in the background to put in place their people and plans in pursuit of Project 2025. Trump is just a front guy who is easily manipulated and happy to be in the spotlight as long as he is given lots of money, nice shiny things to play with - the White House, new jets, big red hats - and allowed to play golf 3 or 4 times a week. The scary clever guys behind him meanwhile continue to implement their plans and shove new bills and Presidential Executive Orders etc in front of him to sign, none of which he ever reads and if he did wouldn't understand! Musk got what he wanted - lots of Gov and personal data stripped out of US Gov systems which he can use for a whole range of dodgy uses to pursue his ambitions for X.Slick wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 11:04 amThis was all part of the project 2025 plan?dpedin wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 10:29 amSenile, orange, incontinent narcissistic psychopath falls out with drugged up, failed plastic surgery, demonic, narcissistic psychopath! And I've seen a couple of videos where the names on each were all different. These have been the most scary, because with how the US is so tooled up, it could easily be cosplaying nutjobs / militia types doing it it for all bystanders know.sockwithaticket wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 11:46 am Lost in the chaos is the appointment of a 22 year old just out of college as the lead of a DHS department. His only qualification seems to be a summer internship at the Heritage Foundation (the think tank behind Project 2025...).
In amidst the continuing egregious arrest and detention of people who are currently going through the legal process for residency, are already legal residents or even born citizens, there's been a rise in active protests during 'ICE' raids. Not that anyone can confirm these people actually work for any branch of government. They're covering their faces and operating in plain clothes. Even their bulletproof vests have no identifiers that you commonly see on other law enforcement like ATF, FBI, Police etc. It's setting a dangerous precedent where people are expected to assume unidentifiable masked men are conducting lawful business. It's ripe for abuse, not least any group of men who fancy abducting women.
