Damn. I thought the Stormers dodged a bullet when Dobbo gave his blessings to Dweba to leave. And then , like Arnie , he returns. Sucks for the Stormers

Dobson has signed the best SA Schools players like Norton, Reid and Ahmed. His aim is to keep our top youngsterst in WP as per Red Disa investment.

Paul Roos is going to be top dog in SA schools rugby for years to come. Corne Uys has turned them into a real Mighty Maroon Machine. They only lost 4 out of 24 all ages matches against Grey College and had only 7 grade 12s in their 1st team compare to Grey 13. Excellent for WP.

We can't keep them all but Dobson stated that he will keep the top talents.

I don't know gentlemen. I have a bad feeling about this family trust that has taken over WP rugby. Looks more like an aggressive takeover than an investment boost to the franchise. Losing most of your youth and no depth to your squads is really ominous. And Dobson looks really out of his depth. It's sad.

Yesterday Kyle Smith, who was last year in matrix outperform a Cheetah reject and old age Homer.

That's exactly what Dobson wants from the Currie Cup. Invest in his own youth players.

Sharks and Bulls have a lot of has been in their CC and waisted money.

SMZ & BJD is the example of quality youth players, born and bred by WP and Dobson.

Following in the likes of Willemse, Moerat, Bongi, Etsebeth, Kolisi, Ellende,PSdT, Malherbe, Kitshoff.

In the mean time Plumtree produced All Blacks and Powell midgets.

Agreed re SMZ and BJD.

The rest haven't been Stormers for ages. Except Kitshoff who is literally at the end of his career

I am more concerned that WP Stormers have been taken for a ride with the deal they entered into. We don't see big signings and the youngsters are moving to the Bulls and Sharks. So money is obviously very tight . I don't think Stormers URC or Champions Cup squad is big enough for all the games. And the Currie Cup has shown that there are no youngsters coming through of the right quality. Watching the game this past weekend, it was like a training run for the Sharks whilst WP gave everything.

WP played with 3 players who were still in school last yearagainst the Sharks and 8 players plugged from club rugby.

The Sharks should have put 50 on them and they had to fight until the end.

Go figure.

WP had some bizarre help from Egon Seconds and the ref.
Confirm whether De Villiers was the under 20s captain and whether the young hooker was our under 20s hooker. I remember there being some controversy about his selection

Vok. Even Rassie agreed. I am sure you won't slate him for that

Conveniently ignoring the young under 20s hooker and De Villiers as under 20s captain....acting all taken aback and disgusted.

Not working

Stormers need to start developing their own talent and leave the Sharks alone. So much poaching in the pipeline.

I see Herschel Jantjies is looking for a NH French gig. That leaves the scrumhalf cupboard very bare at the Stormers whilst the Sharks are loaded with talented scrumhalves. And Props. Which the Stormers are I short supply.
Soon more than half the Stormers will be Ex Sharks

Good.

Keep your filthy paws off our players.

Those U20 scrumhalves were shit in the internationals. If the same ones. If they were any good they would have been at the Bulls already

Every time the Stormers put out a wish list it gets shot down. I don't take rumors about top players joining the Stormers seriously anymore.
It's just a wish list.
As my mom used to say

Shit in your one hand and wish in the other and see which is heavier.

Duhan not interested
