Only git to watch highlights. Fassi is an absolute race horse. The line he runs are great. Has a massive boot on him too. I think he is ready for the Boks.

I do. You are a real rugby man. Its a never ending vokaround and supporters are tube stil
Go f uck yourself
There were parts of their game which looked better though. Von Wolhuter certainly looked better than any 10 we have in the last 2 years . Scrum is still good.Lemoentjie wrote: Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:08 pm Good win for Cheetahs. Stormers don't look the same without some of their most influential players (unsurprisingly).

Yeah, all the big teams won. I feel kinda sorry for the plucky losers.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 5:26 am I see all the big boys won on the first weekend, as expected.
EP reinforcing my position on them, they have no right to even be playing in this competition. They should accept their position as a feeder union until they can sort their shit out.
Its just embarrassing for the small boys....although the Pumas always seem to be competitive at least . We have to accept EP needs to be in the system.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 5:26 am I see all the big boys won on the first weekend, as expected.

Ja, it was refreshing to hear.handyman wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:06 am Loved how the referees forced the players to speed the play up. Take them out of their comfort zone.
I have been watching the Blues vs HurriKane. Both Moari nr 9 had blond hair like Faf and try to box kick like him. 6 Nations is also vrot with this box kick kak. Its a sickness in all rugby now. Wish they can ban it from rugby.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:32 am I think refs really need to take the initiative. If a 9 is slow at the back of the ruck, then the ref can pick up the ball in box kick it themselves.
Wales were very slow at the back of the ruck, but at least when they kick they land it in the right stop and the contest is excellent. That's the sort of box kick I don't mind.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:38 am I have been watching the Blues vs HurriKane. Despite WP loss at least they run it much more. The Sharks looks totally different at the back with a slick passing 10.Sandstorm wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:44 amNope, they all suck.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:43 amWales were very slow at the back of the ruck, but at least when they kick they land it in the right stop and the contest is excellent. We won the final playing with ball in hand.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:34 am Geez lads. We won a world cup using box kicks.
Of course I'd prefer to see us running more, but the way defence is ruling games it's going to take something else to get teams to keep the ball more when not in the opposition half.
Incorrect.
I am not comparing to England or any other country, but to our own gameplan in the tournament. Surely we play a different gameplan (less box kicking) in the final comparing to the semi final vs Wales or the quarter final vs Japan.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:41 amIncorrect.
England had more runs with the ball, more defenders beaten, more passes, more offloads, more territory and more possession.
We kicked the ball 26 times, more than England.
We won that game with much less ball in hand than England.
Compared to the sem-final, I agree.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:49 am I am not comparing to England or any other country, but to our own gameplan in the tournament. The point I'm making is that we can't just rule-out the box kick. If it's well executed it can get you 20/30m upfield and keep possession.
Besides that, who the vok knows who is going to be our 10 against the Lions; we may need our 9 to take the load.

Ok, but then the Law should change that the scrummy can't dribble the ball back to a place in the ruck where he likes it. He has to use his hands only.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:53 amCompared to the sem-final, I agree.OomStruisbaai wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:49 am I am not comparing to England or any other country, but to our own gameplan in the tournament. This business of dribbling it back passed the feet of the centipede for 5-7 secs is nonsense!

Yep and Evan Roos fresh from the Sharks onto the bench. Chris Schreuder is also a very talented 10 from Grey College.Chilli wrote: Fri Mar 05, 2021 10:59 amI am happy to see them having faith in Von Wolhuter.Stormers: 15 Sergeal Petersen, 14 Sihle Njezula, 13 Ruhan Nel, 12 Cornel Smit, 11 Leolin Zas, 10 Kade Wolhuter, 9 Godlen Masimla, 8 Juarno Augustus, 7 Ben-Jason Dixon, 6 Marcel Theunissen, 5 Chris van Zyl (captain), 4 David Meihuizen, 3 Neethling Fouche, 2 Siyabonga Ntubeni, 1 Alistair Vermaak.

I really hope that this competition exposes these talented young 10's to us the viewers and that they do well and prove that we don't only produce boring kicking 10's like Bosch, Steyn and Willemse.OomStruisbaai wrote: Fri Mar 05, 2021 12:51 pmYep and Evan Roos fresh from the Sharks onto the bench. It's a huge step down from Superrugby which is far more accurate and intense. I really miss the Kiwis and Argies...and the Aussies of the Larkham era
Well duh. If you don’t find spending time with your kids more interesting than watching Rugby on TV, you are a bad parent.Sards wrote: Sat Mar 06, 2021 12:47 pm
That's the word I was looking for.
No seriously. You have to be rather desperate to get excited about this kak. Rather spend the day watching the lighty play cricket. Those personal battles of keeping it tight and taking wickets during the fielding and watching him get stressed out when his team is under the cosh from outstanding bowling from the opposition and then going in and either making it or failing, are more interesting.
And pn Friday afternoon I would rather take the kids boogie boarding than watch amateurs acting like professionals
