I do love this comp!
Counties look likely to bash an out of sorts Mooloos. They have Laulala, Papalii and Sotutu back from AB duty, should they choose to play them.

Harbour v Makos looks tasty. Where the hell has Tevita Li been hiding the last few years?

Li does that every couple of years it seems, suddenly reminds you what he can do. And you could be right on Counties.

Have to say fellas watched a couple of Otago's games on tv, and like the look of their 10 Cam Millar, looks a well balanced player Though it's interesting trying to find has age on the net a couple of places (wikipedia is one) have him born in 2001-2002 and his age at 21-22. Anyone enlighten me?
Think he would have to be Clans 10 next year.

Canterbury back to normal with Romano starting and a strong bench. It could be a cracker match vs the Naki.

I wandering off up to that game tomorrow Kiwias, and suspect with that pack will take a lot of chances the Naki hoped to have, especially as it at Pukekura Park, it's really a cricket wicket, and I thought last game chopped up pretty bad. Bloody great place to watch rugby, but field is not quite up tp it.

Goes without saying I cheering for the good guys, which just happen to be the good guys  . Mate I know I am a rugy tragic but one of the top things (only one of them)coming home was the thought of getting to NPC games, and while got stuffed with covid etc last year I made sure I became a member of Taranaki this year!

Nothing tragic about loving rugby and going to NPC matches. I know I will be the same when I eventually end up back home.

Yes. Agree. Early days but he has looked tidy with ball in hand, makes good decisions and has an excellent boot.

As posted earlier, I thought if Sotutu, Papalii and Laulala started, you were in for a thumping. I like this Mooloo backline but can't see how the fwds can compete enough to give them a platform to attack from.

{EDIT} Esp on these pitch conditions.

Good boot, decent vision, can't pass from left to right to save himself. He'd need to progress a lot over the course of the NPC to be a serious contender for a starting soup slot next year.

AB tighthead having a tough time........ which is a world in microcosm.

After a total domination start, CM have been under the cosh now for an age as Mooloos playing tempo is working.

3 mins of first class butchery by CM at the end of the half. With the wind against then after the break, that profligacy looks likely to hurt.

Your boys looking pretty ok at oranges NZer. I have to say up to now they look ok, and liking Coombes-Fabling, reminds me of a Ben Smith type 15. Fairly physical game too.

Well that's just deserts. Steelers reverting to the dim Steelers of the past. Lineouts a total f**k up....... so they go long. Brain damaged.
