That's got to be a red. I reckon might well also mean Curry is a red as they just taken the easy option and punish both teams.

Edit: And there we go.

And that’s a shocking penalty call there. England were all over that ruck. Should have been English penalty.

Gobsmacked that it is red. It was a head clash from a catcher landing from a big leap.

I wonder how hard it is for players who have been trained in the "dominant hit" era to unlearn an entire career of chest high shots?

Watched it again a few times, it is a red, doesnt matter if he is coming down from a catch, his feet were on the ground and he went in upright head on head, fairly straightfoward call.

Very hard I imagine. And the sumo-ball defensive influence has certainly made it worse. Thing is, they will have to unlearn. Eng remain serial offenders to maybe need so work harder at it.

Harsh red, surely the mitigation is that the Argentinian was in the air, and Curry couldn't know exactly where he'd hit him?

Yellow for head contact caused by him, but the red is a harsh call.

Agreed.

Ford should have stayed down as cards are awarded on outcome. No way Sexton would have got up immediately.

That's bullshit.

One was a split second head on head as the player dropped out of the air (and Curry was possibly obscured as he arrived on the scene), gets a red. Whilst the Argie 10 has a massive run up, arrives late, jumps, turns his back, and manages needlessly to smash his opposite number with a cheap shot to the head, arse first or not, and bowl him over. Only a yellow.

Absolute nonsense decision and consistency.

Sexton would still be down holding his head. Priest would be out reading him his last rites.
