Nice facials from both Smith and Inglis when they got done by Rabada.

Game over already, you'd think?

The Proteas looked hopeless a few weeks ago in the beginning of the series against Australia. I can't believe how good they look now.

IT"S COMING HOME

Don't get too excited. Sri Lanka and Australia have two of the weakest batting & bowling lineups in this WC.

Interesting decision that one. How he could conclude the gloves were connected from those stills...

Shamsi finally gets a bowl.

Net RR is a huge concern for Aus now. If they lose to England they'll be in deep, deep, deep shit.

Proteas going to the top of the log. It bring back memories.

Our bowling attack is right today. Great variation. Batting is great.

Just catching up on the highlights now.

Weird one, bottom hand clearly off the bat and away from his top hand. Ball looks to be hitting the bottom glove only and not the handle. Poor decision.

Is there a more unlucky guy in cricket than Kane?

Comes in after months out and gets a 50 (on track for a hundy) and gets pinged on the hand during a run out attempt and has to retire injured.

Hope it was a "lets get him back in and not risk it" moment rather than a "Kane is broken again" moment.

Noice - first on the board with 3 wins.

Afghanistan next which is always a bit of a how much will Rashid Khan influence the game. Although a couple of their top order seem to be firing.

Then India......

Then Australia.....

Should be a romp vs Afghanistan - India, that's going to be a tough assignment in India, Australia not looking strong .... can the Black Caps cock it up from here, oh hell yes though expecting 2 from 3 over the next games.

NZ cruised to a comfortable win in the end, if not a bit boring.

130,000 seats today for India v Pakistan, let's hope at least that this one is full.

India win the toss, bowl first.

England's bowling is why we're not going to get far in this tournament. For all the talk about the batting selections, not a lot has been said about how fragile the bowling is. Woakes has turned into overseas Test Woakes, Curran is less effective than in t20s, Rashid has been extremely expensive for a while, and we're just not sure who else to play.

Excellent work from Buttler

122/2, Eng pulling it back.

Topley still off the field and limping slightly but doesn't look like he's receiving any treatment.

And he's back on the field

England 33/2, game on.

Of course Afghanistan shouldn’t be an ICC full member, so you could argue they might not be here if it weren’t for the ICC bias towards them.

Maybe because they actually are Afghans, rather than a swathe of foreign born imports?

Full members are required to have a women’s team.
