Big win for Pakistan, who played very well. A disaster for the Windies as this now brings them into the equation for missing out on the semi finals.

Pakistan win by 7 wickets. Good result for all the teams. Maybe 8 logpoints can be enough.

The two unbeaten teams tomorrow. Australia set the standard, will be a massive upset if we beat them

Based purely on how well they played today, it is hard to believe that Pakistan had lost 18 on the trot at WCs.

Indeed, very calm and controlled, both in their bowling and batting. They never looked like losing. Windies now need to beat SA to qualify for the semis, which on current form seems unlikely.

The Proteas Women's team have never beaten Australia in any format of the game and will be looking to make history in Wellington.

Good catch in the outfield to get rid of Haynes.

Aus 45 for 2 chasing 272 after 11

Aus cruising at 238/4 in the 39th over, Lanning crushing them on 124. Five chances put down so far by SAf.

Australia really are a class above. 271 was not a poor target but they romp home in the 46th over

Klapped by the Aussies. Maybe not a bad thing. Now to make sure we finish 2nd and try to avoid them in the semi's.

We have two games left, West Indies and India. Neither of those sides are easy beats.

If we lose both those games, India, WI and ourselves will be on 8 points. England are on 4 points, but they are playing the bottom 2 sides, Pakistan and Bangladesh, so they should also be on 8 points.

So, if we lose both games and England win both theirs, we will all be on 8 points and it will come down to RR.

If we win one of the games, or weather interferes and there's a no-result, we'll end up second. And if England win both games and there's no significant weather intervention, then they'll probably be third.

So, in all probability, we'll be playing England in the quarters.

Doesn't really make any difference, though, does it?

Presumably, we have not given up and decided that we are only playing for the runner-up position?

India and England currently have better RRs than South Africa. The Windies have the worst RR. If they all end up on 8 points each, it is likely that both India's and England's RRs will have improved, while SA's will have got worse. If they do all end on 8 points each, the likely positions would be 2) India, 3) England and 4) SA.

Having said that, SA should win both their remaining matches with relative ease.

That's a fair assessment.

Personally, I'm not worried who we face in the quarters (assuming we get there).

We play West Indies and India. We need to take it one game at a time. Will help NZ and England if we beat both.

Game washed out. South Africa share the points and are now through to the semis with 9 points.  Hopefully we can avoid Australia in the sem-finals. Well done to our ladies! Makes up for our men getting crushed by Bangladesh.

Kiwis doing reasonably well so far vs Pakistan but even winning it will not put us in the top four thanks to our pathetic NRR.

160-4 now. I suspect NZ are following their tried and true script of failing to capitalise on a decent position to finish 20-40 runs (or more) short of what looked likely.

233-8 with a couple of overs to go and following two bad run outs.

Odd that Frankie Mackay has only come in at 10.

Huge finish to get to 266. Right, let’s roll them for 8 to bump the NRR up and then hope.

No way the Poms are losing their spot in the playoffs.

We blew it against the Saffers and Windies teams

Not sure if India have scored enough. They sort of fell apart in the last 15 overs and wasted a superb start.
