Willemse = master of all positions.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Name me 3 things he has done that makes him special above all the others.
He's a terrible lock.

Is this your opinion, or did he actually win it?

The only one he didnt win was the JWC back in 2018. He was co captain and won bronze. Probably because he got injured after the second match.assfly wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 7:25 am I'm just pulling your leg Oom. You know him better than me.
But deep down inside, we both know he's craving the Challenge Cup trophy so that he can truly feel like he's reached the pinnacle of professional rugby.
Time is running out for him. He wouldn't want to end his career showing very little for his efforts.OomStruisbaai wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 7:43 am Unfortunately the Stormers wont play Sport Pienaar (Challenge Cup) next year. Have to wait for another year.
I am talking Springboks...we all know his school videos got attention. Ja, another blow that. Seems like a very harsh ban too given the incident.assfly wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 9:33 am Add Jasper Wiese to the list.
Banned for 6 games. So he'll miss the Ireland series and part of TRC.
Roos is probably the front runner, but I am 100% in agreement with you that he needs to sort his aggression and red mist out. I am really liking this Hanekom laaitie, but he will need to be eased in. Playing the Irish backrow on debut will be some baptism by fireassfly wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 11:19 am Yes his record didn't help in the hearing.
It's really exposed a problem at 8. There are lots of options who are all very good, but no obvious successor. Roos just worries me that he'll have a brainfart on the field against Ireland and do something stupid. I'd be more inclined to give Hanekom a chance.
Wright can't play at 8 Os.
Roos is ready & in form, plus his aggression has cooled recently. Hanekom is green, but the Summer Tours are the best place to blood youngsters anyway.LoveOfTheGame wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 11:44 amRoos is probably the front runner, but I am 100% in agreement with you that he needs to sort his aggression and red mist out. We are the most humble supporters. The only arrogant one is Sards. One would have thought after the amount of hidings
Right now I will much rather see Hanekom get a run out in the 8 jersey than Roos. Hanekom's stats are a lot better than Roos this season, and even using the URC's power rankings, Hanekom is #63 and Roos is not even in the top 100 right now. If you want a like for like replacement for Wiese, Louw might be a better option but I just do not think Louw plays his best in the 8 jersey, he seems to play a lot better off the side of the scrum for the bulls.Sandstorm wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 12:06 pmRoos is ready & in form, plus his aggression has cooled recently. I wouldn't be unhappy if Elrich Louw played 8 for the Boks either.
Knowing Rassie, it'll be Kwagga.
Roos still has all the same bad habits. Selfish player, loses the ball inn contact, one-off carries that get turned over again and again...Sandstorm wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 12:06 pmRoos is ready & in form, plus his aggression has cooled recently.
