The only one he didnt win was the JWC back in 2018. He was co captain and won bronze. Probably because he got injured after the second match.

Unfortunately the Stormers wont play Sport Pienaar (Challenge Cup) next year. Have to wait for another year.

Add Jasper Wiese to the list.

Banned for 6 games. So he'll miss the Ireland series and part of TRC.

Ja, another blow that. Seems like a very harsh ban too given the incident.
The inconsistency of the judiciary is still a major frustration.

If that deserved a red card and a 6 week ban, then fine, but then you better throw the book at other players as well.

Did not see the incident, but I would assume his past record would have counted against him? We're looking a bit light on experience now at 8. Who will they select, Kwagga? We do have a lot of talent coming up with Louw, Roos, Hanekom etc maybe getting into the mix.

Yes his record didn't help in the hearing.

It's really exposed a problem at 8. There are lots of options who are all very good, but no obvious successor. Roos just worries me that he'll have a brainfart on the field against Ireland and do something stupid. I'd be more inclined to give Hanekom a chance.

Roos is probably the front runner, but I am 100% in agreement with you that he needs to sort his aggression and red mist out. I am really liking this Hanekom laaitie, but he will need to be eased in. Playing the Irish backrow on debut will be some baptism by fire

Roos is ready & in form, plus his aggression has cooled recently. Hanekom is green, but the Summer Tours are the best place to blood youngsters anyway.
I wouldn't be unhappy if Elrich Louw played 8 for the Boks either.

Knowing Rassie, it'll be Kwagga.

Right now I will much rather see Hanekom get a run out in the 8 jersey than Roos. Hanekom's stats are a lot better than Roos this season, and even using the URC's power rankings, Hanekom is #63 and Roos is not even in the top 100 right now. If you want a like for like replacement for Wiese, Louw might be a better option but I just do not think Louw plays his best in the 8 jersey, he seems to play a lot better off the side of the scrum for the bulls.
Maybe Dayimani will jump the queue seeing as the government is on the Springboks' backs again about quotas now that it is elections again, but as good a player as he is, he is just not the no.1 rank right now unfortunately. With both Willemse and Am anything could happen in that regard.

Roos still has all the same bad habits. Selfish player, loses the ball inn contact, one-off carries that get turned over again and again...

I would prefer Kwagga or Van Staden, maybe Louw and if we do cap him, then Hanekom. Roos be behind all of them in my pecking order.

Ethan Hooker. He's a kid. How does he go from so many weeks injured to a masterful performance out of position. Not a single missed tackle. Definitely one for the future. Imagine him and Esterhuizen together.
