I'm guessing vdm is going as (a) he's not had a great season and (b) get us out of any tight spots. Rowe, Reid, Steyn, and Patterson is also a green back three. Not actually too much depth at wing as nobody has really missed selection.
The current Vice President of the SRU board railed for years against the Super 6 in TOL before getting elected. He was also against more regional leagues - the status of the clubs is his motivation, any new CEO would have a fight on their hands if they wanted the S6, or similar, back.

The players at English and French clubs will leave before the Uruguay game as it's outside the official Test window. Sutherland and Hastings will be alright as their contracts should be with Glasgow by that point. I don't think it will. I'd like Edinburgh and Glasgow u21s in the premiership as standalone teams.

Given Boroughmuir Stirling County were S6 teams and both were 'relegated' to Nat 1 next season rather than dislodge current Prem teams, I cannot see there being any chance of two SRU funded teams being parachuted into the top league. I agree they would be asked to start at the bottom of the pyramid. It's not a bad idea (maybe U23s as that is the new academy age).
It will get dismissed out of hand by the clubs - or I can see them saying, "Fine, but they they will have to start in West/East Region Division 3 and see if they can get promotion" - 7 tiers down.

Yes, spot on re 10, and that’s a very difficult thing to develop as he gets older, but I love his attitude to the position. You can pick out so many good individual performances - Sione ( whose form had dipped prior to the Stormers , but is back to it's best ) / Jones - who has had precious little game time this season - Fagersons - both of them - Zander is in the form of his life - and Matt - well , we go on about Scotland not having a hard edged bastard like POM , just because he doesn't look like a hard edged bastard ( like POM does ) doesn't not make him one - as last night showed. Darge / Dempsey - both excellent
But I will pick out another 2 , rather unsung heroes
Jamie Bhatti - absolute rock yesterday - and has been for most of the season when he has been playing - nothing Flash , but gets through a huge work load.
Captain Kyle - 5 tries in the last six games , and a gain huge work ethic - but as a Captain , he brings so much more - they way he interacts with the rest of the Glasgow Team , and how he works / responds with referees.
Glasgow had obviously got on the wrong side of Piardi at the start ( Piardi was fine for both sides - not perfect, but the no one is ), but the way Steyn communicated with his team , and Piardi was a masterclass of captaincy. No huge celebrations on the pitch last night from Glasgow - they know they have won nothing yet.
The current Team simply doesn't have players of the calibre of Russell / Hogg / Nakarawa / Matawalu - but overall its a better team - and with some serious talent coming through with Williamson / Samuel / Ferrie / Fraser / Walker - Glasgow look to be on the up.
Munster fans were great last night - if you have never been to Thomond Park , you are missing out on one hell of an experience

A bit gutted to see only one weekend game for us which of course coincides with a long arranged family gathering for me. Also liked whatever it was that Stayne said to the ref about the home crown being an influence. That's a hard thing to say in the right way, might have played a part in the penalty tide turning. Might not have done of course.
Wee Horne taking as long as possible on his last kick. All in all just felt a lot smarter, and cooler heads. Which is a really good thing from a Scottish perspective, because we miss that so much.
I think Darge was told to empty the tank in the knowledge it would be a 60min game for him, he seemed to be all over the place.
Huw Jones is just class. A wee nod to Zander Fagerson last week vs Stormer too, that for me is his standard.
