Easily the most important person in the moment when the result is called is the loser, it's on them to act with the country and democracy in mind no matter how much it hurts, perhaps even more so if there's a transfer of power. Its hard to reconcile that the current President is from the same species as John McCain, let alone the same Political PartyRhubarb & Custard wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:15 pmEasily the most important person in the moment when the result is called is the loser, it's on them to act with the country and democracy in mind no matter how much it hurts, perhaps even more so if there's a transfer of power. It's almost all in Vegas and they're not really set up for counting postal votes. And they mailed a postal ballot to everyone, so as a proportion of the population it's much higher than other states.Sandstorm wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:44 pmNevada counting votes individually between spins of the roulette wheel? Add to that they allow postal votes to arrive till November 10th

And another of Trump’s baseless legal actions bites the dust
“ A Michigan judge has dismissed the Trump campaign’s lawsuit demanding “meaningful access” to vote-counting sites.
The decision comes one day after the AP declared Joe Biden to be the winner in Michigan and its 16 electoral votes.
The Biden campaign has dismissed the lawsuits as “meritless” attempts to distract from the Democratic nominee’s victories in key states.”

The registrar of Clark County (Las Vegas) says they won't release any more results till noon on Friday ET. That's about 20 hours away, ffs.Sandstorm wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:44 pmNevada counting votes individually between spins of the roulette wheel? Not if Biden also wins Arizona. Then he's at 270 and it's game over - without him even needing PA.Sandstorm wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 7:40 pmMeh, there’s only 6 seats there. It'll be proper scorched earth stuff and it'll be all Biden's fault.
There won't be transition talks
You have to go back a long way to find something equivalent to what this transition will look like

Less than 13k lead in GA now; & ~100k votes to count
Where did you get that number from? Earlier today GA said 60k votes to count.

Someone inside the WH said a few weeks ago that they weren't preparing for a transition; which might have been just bravado; but given who we're talking about; probably wasn't.Saint wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:36 pm

Like everything else; the transition will be a clusterfuck, with the scum trying to pardon himself, & all his lackeys out of prison, & shoving as much cash as he can into his businesses
I think Biden's actually going to lose Arizona. I'm not even sure it will be close in the endGumboot wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 8:15 pmNot if Biden also wins Arizona. Then he's at 270 and it's game over - without him even needing PA.

They said on the old fashioned live TV news this morning that in one of the states unused to so many postal ballots they are taking it slow and checking everything 5 times to ensure the count is as accurate as possible.

They're out. It's down to around 47k to go in GA. That's going to be so tight that delayed military overseas votes could swing itfishfoodie wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:17 pmI was calculating based on the votes cast, & the percentage completion on the NYT siteSaint wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:38 pm

Yeah, it's certainly possible they're fudging the number, because they know the number of ballots on hand, & they know the number they've sent out, & the percentage counted is based on the larger number.Saint wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:19 pmThey're out. this looks like footage of what happens when people drop scorpions or rattlesnakes down their kaks as a test of their Faith.
