Watching Super Rugby I am getting deja vu... looks like last year.. and the year before that... still a lack of intensity at the breakdown. Unless this changes I can't see the All Blacks getting any better at it either. And we won't have the SA'n super sides to come in and mix it up with us...
Watching France v Wales tonight.. and it's like a different sport.

If France win by 16 or more points they'll leapfrog (sorry) the ABs into 2nd place in the rankings.
Obviously they've been a better team than the ABs for some time, anyway.

Likely deserve it...
I've just had an uncomfortable thought... imagine if the All Blacks win the world cup... it could happen.. they get a good draw... and defy Foster to play some proper rugby to win the semi and final...
Then Foster is rewarded with 4 more years...

I agree Grandpa, I think our super teams are nowhere near as good in intensity,or skill level as a few years back, and have doesn't help we only play Aussie teams aprt from each other. I have thought Premiership etc up North has surpassed super in standards, will make it awful hard when we trying to get ABs ready for test rugby.

Shall we start a petition on Change.org?
NZ Super Rugby must have at least 3 people at all rucks!

There have been late changes to both sides.
The Crusaders and Chiefs have made late changes to their teams ahead of the Super Rugby Pacific match in Christchurch on Saturday night.
The Crusaders have lost captain and lock Scott Barrett from the starting line-up. Brodie McAlister, Tamaiti Williams and Mitch Dunshea have also been removed from the reserves.
All been forced to withdraw on “medical grounds’’, a Crusaders spokesperson said.
Hooker Codie Taylor has been named skipper in the absence of Barrett, who has been replaced by Quinten Strange in the starting XV.
On the bench Shilo Klein has replaced hooker McAlister and prop Abrahan Pole has been recruited to fill the vacancy created by Williams’ departure. George Bower has been listed in the No 18 jersey, with Pole taking Bower's No 17.
Dominic Gardiner will provide cover at lock following the promotion of Strange to the run-on team.
The Chiefs have replaced left wing Etene Nanai-Seturo with Alex Nankivell for an undisclosed reason.
Tom Florence has been confirmed to be on the bench in the No 20 jersey.

It was although ruined for both sides by bad handling at the end. Very poor from Blackadder.

Sowakula did brilliantly to get back and get his hand in to dislodge the ball

I’m at my Chiefs supporting mates place for this.
There’s been quite a few Tuis. Sledging game is strong.
Goldie is getting to be as bad as Marshall.
Oh… entertaining game. Decent match up between these two teams. Saders probably shade it but I dunno… hard to pick a winner.

95% picks for the Saders in the FR seems overly certain. Average pick is Saders to win by 10+.

Brilliant. Just proves that you don't have to be perfect but patience and keeping the ball alive will break the defence in the end.

There has been some outstanding defence from the Crusaders to withstand the Chiefs so far.
