For the Sharks their new wing was fantastic. Specmania version 2.

Disjointed game, pen after pen. WP had better plans, kick chase was the only difference in the last 20 it felt for me. Little (if anything) the Sharks put up was contestable

Ernst is a very good captain and was in Rasta's ear all game.
Ouch.....story of our season this year....thank vok we have new coaching staff. I think Everett is getting pressure from shareholders and us looking out of depth. This whole marketing campaign is not working out.
Time for the old boys to step in again
That’s weird. Just recently you were telling us how well managed the Shorks were and how WP could learn from them.Sards wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 5:44 pmOuch.....story of our season this year....thank vok we have new coaching staff. Is this another flip-flop?
Listen. You lot are fantastic supporters. Dream supporters. You are kak, your administration are ANC cadres. You have no money and....you never complain.Sandstorm wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 5:52 pmThat’s weird. Us Sharkies aren't like that. We are not that fragile that we never confront incompetent performance. That's the biggest difference between professional and amateur unions

Sharks have money and lilly white executives. Maybe they need some ANC top management.
Money can't buy rugby heart.
Evan Roos was massive again. Where would he have been if he stayed at the Sharks?

Managed to catch most of the match. I quite like the idea of Wednesday night games, I hope it continues.
Weird game. Sharks let themselves down, how can you outscore the opposition 4 tries to 2 and dick them in the scrum and still lose is beyond me.
Abrahams looks like a real livewire, will be nice to see him get some game time. Obviously been waiting for the Bok wingers to be called up for an opportunity. Forward pack looked decent enough, but as usual the problem starts at 10.
I though the WP 9 looked very handy. Also Even Roos looks like the real deal, that try was ridiculous.

That Curwin Bosch pass in front of his posts that fortuitously led to a Sharks try was hilarious. He looked like Napoleon Dynamite trying to pass the ball.assfly wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 5:47 am Managed to catch most of the match. I quite like the idea of Wednesday night games, I hope it continues.

Roos is a freak, Hendrickse is a big scrumhalf too - close to 90kg. I watched him closely at the Sharks and he looks Bok captain material. Sharks let him go because they're backing Buthelezi I guess.
Fez Mbatha is another kid who impresses me. Maritzburg College is producing some real quality youngsters. Especially black kids from Natal. I think Fez and Andre-Hugo Venter could be a long term Bok hooker combo like Bongi and Marx. Mbatha needs to improve his throwing but he's still only 21 and in his first senior season.

His confidence looked fucked. If he can't find it again playing CC rugby in front of no crowds, then I don't know what to do with him. I'd far rather see Boeta given the 10 jersey.FalseBayFC wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 9:44 am That Curwin Bosch pass in front of his posts that fortuitously led to a Sharks try was hilarious. The BIL are going to kill both teams if they play like this.
Luckily WP will have a lot of players back like Gelant, JD and maybe Moerat. The Venter hooker was very kak, did not throw straight and giving away stupid penalties at the breakdowns, aswell as Klein PSdT. Vok me he try to catch the ball above his head like cricket players does.
Both teams defense was poor, no structure at all.
How can Marius Louw play provincial rugby ?

I wonder why more isn't been said by the WP Elite posters about the true hero in this WP / Stormers team, Tim Swiel.
He won them 4 or 5 Matches during the Rainbow
Cup and yesterday scote 23 points against the $harks. He was waaaaaaay better than his Springbok counterpart.
How long until Elite Handy, Oom, Blake and $ards start calling or demanding for his inclusion in the Bok squad?
Is it because he is up against their favorite 5 Bar player?
If he carries on like this they will name a part of the Cape Town stadium in Tim's honor.

It's a diluted Currie Cup. He has done well. He's no Pollard tho.Chilli wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 9:25 pm I wonder why more isn't been said by the WP Elite posters about the true hero in this WP / Stormers team, Tim Swiel.

Because he’s Morne Steyn reborn and is boring to watch.Chilli wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 9:25 pm I wonder why more isn't been said by the WP Elite posters about the true hero in this WP / Stormers team, Tim Swiel.

Chilli like Abner, now he trolls himself with Swiel.
I do like Abner, but Tim is a proven match winner and should be a WP legend.

Say what you will about Steyn but the man has a very impressive resumé.Sandstorm wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:11 amBecause he’s Morne Steyn reborn and is boring to watch.Chilli wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 9:25 pm I wonder why more isn't been said by the WP Elite posters about the true hero in this WP / Stormers team, Tim Swiel.

U-21 World Cup
2 Currie Cups
3 Super rugby titles
1 Tri-Nations
1 French Top 14 title
1 B&I Lions tour
and a shit ton of records to boot (no pun intended) plus he hardly ever gets injured. If Swiel is a Steyn clone then Stormers supporters should be ecstatic that he's playing for them.
Settle.Chilli wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:13 amI do like Abner, but Tim is a proven match winner and should be a WP legend.
