According to this
The American XL bully breed of dog has been responsible for nearly 50% of all attacks on both humans and dogs, and 70% of all deaths to dogs since 2021, a legal academic has said.
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-n ... 726540.amp

And they only represent 1% of dogs

https://phys.org/news/2023-10-uk-urged- ... ler-xl.amp

That puts them 50 times more likely to attack than other dogs on avg.

They are not just a dangerous gun, they point and fire themselves.

50 times !!!!

Darwinism in action !

Imagine being dumb enough to pay hundreds of pounds for a dog that might decide to eat your meat & two veg ?

Hopefully they do all get a taste for bollocks, & that'll remove the breeders & owners from the gene pool.

Those dogs need putting down. They've proven themself lethal to humans and animals, mostly wankers own them tbf but wankers own all sorts of breeds that aren't killing and maiming people weekly.

A study by the Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare on population prediction for 2050 by prefecture paints an alarming picture.

Compared to 2020 levels, against a national decline of 17%, 11 of the 47 prefectures will undergo declines of 30%+ and another 26 declines of 20%.

The country is fucked.

Hundreds, more like thousands. The great thing for us it that it would appear that a hell a lot of these things are currently getting rehomed in Scotland. There was a story yesterday about some fuckwit that has collected 50 of them that he is looking to find homes for. Obviously those homes will be decent, responsible dog owners. Like fuck it will.

The first time I knew I was outgunned was when I encountered two Rottweilers, I knew that if they turned on me I would not stand a chance, it's the same with these Bully XLs. I'm happy enough with Staffies and the like, not these things.

Staffies are great dogs in the right hands but usually that's not the case and they are turned into little bastards. One of my mates had over 200 stitches after being attacked by two during a drugs raid 20 years ago. The proverbial Land Shark.

There was a decent shake-around yesterday with the earthquake up the coast but no damage. What amused me was this comment in the BBC report from a Pom visiting Japan.
It is common to hear about earthquakes in Japan, but you wouldn't expect to actually experience one.
Surely if they are common, then by definition you should expect to experience one.

It seems as if it might have collided with a Coast Guard plane on the tarmac but the entire plane is engulfed in flame now. There is no confirmation on passengers at the moment

Landing/takeoff stage or just taxiing around on the ground?

The JAL plane was landing after flying from Hokkaido and the Coast Guard plane seems to have been on the tarmac, presumably preparing for take-off

Jesus, that's amazing! Massive explosion as the left engine got ripped off. I guess they all evacuated out the right side of the plane. Well done to the cabin crew!

It was meant to be delivering goods for the victims of yesterday's earthquake.

WTF is going to happen tomorrow, I wonder.

Some good English coverage on Sky

Comments about how well-behaved the passengers are as they head for the exit doors. That is a facet of disasters in Japan that is admirable -- no panic, no looting, no rushing, no screaming.

And the Japan Coastguard plane was taking emergency supplies to the earthquake hit region, so wouldn't have been where it was if not for the earthquake

Even when you have fully trained personnel in emergency evacuations (marine, oil & gas, etc) there is always a risk of someone getting it wrong (seen this in the real world) so to do it on a commercial airliner is indeed amazing.

Just seen video of the plane landing and a huge explosion as it touched down - then going down the runway in flames - totally amazing that they got all the passengers out alive. Must have been incredibly scary for all involved.
