Looks like Beirne has ruptured Dupont's anterior cruciate and internal ligaments. C**t. Hope a bus hits him on the way home.
Preferably ones who have good loud voices & some semblance of Leadership, as the lack of leaders out there in the last 15 mins was obvious.Punter15 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:39 pm Fuck me. 6-15 are good to excellent but 1-5 are fair to shite and that’s the bit that matters.
Anyone in the SH know some decent locks who like fried Mars bars?
Totally agree. We are a thick team and have been since we got decent.fishfoodie wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:44 pmPreferably ones who have good loud voices & some semblance of Leadership, as the lack of leaders out there in the last 15 mins was obvious.Punter15 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:39 pm Fuck me. 6-15 are good to excellent but 1-5 are fair to shite and that’s the bit that matters.

There were a few point where you could have thrown a blanket over the Scots, & surprise, surprise the Welsh kept finding the edges.
You can coach all you like, but you still need leaders on the pitch to coordinate their teammates
FFS mate calm down. There is nothing in it. It's an obvious accident.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:40 pm Looks like Beirne has ruptured Dupont's anterior cruciate and internal ligaments. C**t. Hope a bus hits him on the way home.
The second rows will/should look very different from the summer. Then young Glasgow locks, Sykes and Henderson should be the pool for selection. It's mad that we're still picking Gray.Punter15 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:47 pmTotally agree. Agree. Scotland needed control and that isn't Horne's strength.Big D wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:50 pmThe second rows will/should look very different from the summer. I don't think Horne helped tonight either. Way too loose.
And also Atanio, Jelonch, Lucu, Ntamak, Moefana…..Yeeb wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:06 pmWhen ramos intercepted and created yet another try against the world’s best attack , what were your emotions ? I blame Jonny May.Blackmac wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:41 pm Funny how on social media, every male in Wales either never knew that jumping a tackle was illegal or now thinks it's a stupid law.

Will be interesting to see if the new coach bounce helps Wales. Been a bit of a bogey team for Scotland in the past. If Scotland lose this, Townsend definitely needs to go.
Easy win for England here. Fixtures have fallen their way this year so could easily finish second if they finish strong.
Shane Williams spent his entire career jumping tackles but was hardly ever penalised for it, so it shouldn't really be a surprise that the Welsh are unaware that it was and is illegal.Blackmac wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:41 pm Funny how on social media, every male in Wales either never knew that jumping a tackle was illegal or now thinks it's a stupid law.
France were bigger & when they click are a very, very good side !Gumboot wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:49 pm Just watched the highlights of Ireland vs France, and was surprised how dominant France were in the second half, even without Dupont. Ireland managed to pick up a few crumbs at the end, but to me they look like a once great side that's now on the wane. They might end up thrashing Italy next week, but it's still been a pretty unconvincing tourney, imo.
They beat the shit out of the Irish pack, and put in some absolute monster tackles on the backs.Gumboot wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:49 pm Just watched the highlights of Ireland vs France, and was surprised how dominant France were in the second half, even without Dupont. Well 2 players out and a yellow is a good return.Biffer wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 7:47 am https://www.lequipe.fr/Rugby/Actualites ... de/1545288
Galthier not happy.
There's a reluctance to discuss the issue around Ireland being dirty.
Come now, we all remember how calm and reasoned Irish posters were when Bod suffered an unfortunate shoulder injury in that Lions test. You need to copy their standard of behaviour , views and posting style and show some good sportsmanship when these freak accidental injuries occur .Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:40 pm Looks like Beirne has ruptured Dupont's anterior cruciate and internal ligaments. What really got me yesterday was POM's two attempted "charge downs" of running kickers. He should have been sent off. Made no attempt to stop the ball or tackle the player, just threw himself at the kickers legs, with so little control he hit them with his back. Once is bad but twice is a tactic.laurent wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 7:54 amWell 2 players out and a yellow is a good return.Biffer wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 7:47 am https://www.lequipe.fr/Rugby/Actualites ... de/1545288

Watched the game after our Rugby afternoon in the local stadium.
the ruck stuff is a bad issue as long as diving in rucks is tolerated players are going to get these injuries.
O’Mahony is one of the main culprits. He’s often out and out dirty, not the ‘oooh, treading a thin line’ pish that people describe it as. He’s properly dirty.Blackmac wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 10:23 amWhat really got me yesterday was POM's two attempted "charge downs" of running kickers. He should have been sent off. Not enough box kicking gets done on such a clear day. It's a thing of beauty.

Great try but far too easy again from our point of view
