Roos coach him at Boishaai. No Bulls available so the team will be 90% Stormers and X Stormers players like Rassie.

You mean ex Sharks, come Stormers come ex Stormers come Sharks

Nah dude. Doesn't work that way anymore. Noone can claim a player anymore. Except the franchises that chose them to play and pay their salary.

Roos is a hot headed liability. If he wasn't so pumped up on whatever it is he takes he wouldn't be so stupidly aggressive

Roos and Hanekom and Franke Horn plays for Paarl Boishaai. He coach them as their senior.

Backline looks a bit disjointed but a pretty solid pack. Some well-earned debuts.

When was the last time the Boks had two Lions players starting?

Probably, but that's a safer option if our backline is a bit green. Let's stick PSdT and Sous on the wings to compete, and then give our backs opportunities to counter-attack.

Manie and Siya probably preparing for the Irish. Otherwise it probably picked itself. Sacha covering the entire backline. Great call. It's pretty much a midweek side by the looks of it
Hope Roos behaves himself.
Is it Hendricks debut.

Well, Kwagga and Faf are technically Lions players...even if both have been playing in Japan for a while.

Before that I suppose it's probably when Faf and Elton were the 9-10 pair?

Ja, that's my read as well. Probably a kicking duel as Gatland's Wales will likely keep it tight and grind out opportunities.
It might change if our pack can grind them down and we can build a bit of lead, but if it's messy and disjointed we'll probably see a RWC 2019 type match.

Ja, back to the Coetzee days. Glad to see them back in the mix, they deserved it after the season they had.

You can have Manie . It's URC final this weekend. Didn't he get the Stormers into the final?
Oh that's right. He missed the posts and the quarter finals

Anyone read the review Kolisi got. Vok that was scathing. Our boys are not doing their brethren any favors when they go abroad and treat it like a recovery, holiday. Giving our lads a bad rep.

First Snyman, then ginger and now Kolisi

Ja I saw it. I'm not completely surprised. Going from the world cup win to Top 14 would have been tough. Especially for a player like Kolisi who thrives on emotion. There was no way he could deliver the same form. I wonder if he'll stay for next season?

It is strange though, because they were raving about him when he arrived and put up a couple of great performances. Then he got injured.

It understandable that the clubs get all pissy when their super expensive, high profile players are broken (same happened with RG at Munster and eventually with Kolbe as well) but surely the clubs know that it is a risk with any player.

Munster were very unlucky with RG, for sure. But I also wonder if some players struggled with being away from SA so soon after winning the world cup.

But ja, you sign a top player then expect injuries and international call-ups. That's probably why Saffa players who aren't on the Bok radar make such good signings.

Ah yes the system of selling tickets that got everyone I know who wanted to get a ticket in Cape Town completely pissed off. Not sure why they went that way.

Also keeps the site from crashing when the tickets go on sale.

Personally, I like the system. I applied for the lottery and didn't get tickets, it sucks, but I'm fine with it. The process seems fair.
The only people that get preferential treatment are corporates that rent a suite at a crazy price and season ticket holders. Which I also think is fair.

An added benefit of this approach is that the NZ supporting Cape Crusaders will also be limited in their ability to attend.

I still have to wrap my mind around it.
Apparently 180k people applied for 50k odd tickets. Which is a good reason for the lottery. But is it applied fairly. Who knows. I am sure you will have punters block booking and getting tickets because they are regular income sources. Although they say that they don't. But how do you tell tour groups to vok off.
The ticket prices are high. But we have been spoilt with 50 buck entry prices. So who knows what the scales of economy are. I would pay to take my family. What an experience for the boys.
That would be up there with Ziplining for them.
BTW....for the adventurous types. A new zipline is opening around the Caledon area. I have seen them working on it for years. A long one. Got to get there when the weather improves

On the site you could only buy a max of 4 tickets for the lottery.
There will be some blocks of seats that would be reserved by SARU and issued to travel agencies, sponsors, and events companies and the like, but there would be a vetting process for those.
And then there are the corporate suites.

I like that it makes life difficult for scalpers.

I noticed there is an official match that nobody is using.

Pretty much like a match that Wales aren't participating in.

What a terrible decision to pass and a half asleep position for the receiver to take.
