Swiel is a better Morne Steyn clone then Curwin Bosch.average joe wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:26 amSay what you will about Steyn but the man has a very impressive resumé.Sandstorm wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:11 amBecause he’s Morne Steyn reborn and is boring to watch.Chilli wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 9:25 pm I wonder why more isn't been said by the WP Elite posters about the true hero in this WP / Stormers team, Tim Swiel.
He won them 4 or 5 Matches during the RainbowCup and yesterday scote 23 points against the $harks. He was waaaaaaay better than his Springbok counterpart.
How long until Elite Handy, Oom, Blake and $ards start calling or demanding for his inclusion in the Bok squad?
Is it because he is up against their favorite 5 Bar player?
If he carries on like this they will name a part of the Cape Town stadium in Tim's honor.
U-21 World Cup
2 Currie Cups
3 Super rugby titles
1 Tri-Nations
1 French Top 14 title
1 B&I Lions tour
and a shit ton of records to boot (no pun intended) plus he hardly ever gets injured. If Swiel is a Steyn clone then Stormers supporters should be ecstatic that he's playing for them.

Its sad that the BIL don't play our country teams. At the moment the Pumas and Griquas will give them a much harder game then WP or Sharks or Lions, but at Kimberley or Nelspruit

WP getting shape for the BiL big game. Backline close to the best. Sadly Gelant won't make it for the BILs. Only Godlen a vokop in 9. Vok knows there is better quota 9s in WP.
I like Xaba. He is a genuine 6. We have a lot of good 7s. Hopefully JD will be ready for the BIL , Ernst back to 7. Our fatties is as good as you ll get. Fouche probably to start next week.
Our defense pretty kak so far in the CC. Hope to see an improvement. Back three and midfield excellent attackers.
Oh and welcome back JdJ. Haven't saw him played in ages.
Tomorrow perfect klein Saterdag with two great matches.

Great win for Kwaste.
As expected Godlin was so kak, de Wet decided to join him. Surely Dobson got Bergies from the street to play TH.
BIL will put 100 up against this sorry lot.

One of my biggest pet peeves with modern rugby at the moment. This "Home jersey" "away jersey" bullshit needs to stop.assfly wrote: Thu Jul 08, 2021 10:28 am FFS how many years have these to been playing each other, and we still have the annual jersey clash.
You need a "dark" jersey and a "light" jersey, and there should always be a light / dark contrast between the two teams on the field.
There have been so many matches over the last 5 years where the teams played with jerseys that clashed. I recall a Bulls-Waratahs match that was beyond ridiculous and there was also a match, where if the teams just played with their "normal" jerseys everything would have been fine...think it was Stormers-Hurricanes, but for some reason the Canes played with a blue away jersey that clashed horribly.

I'm in quarantine/self-isolation after contact and its shit weather outside so I'm wasting time doing meaningless research.
WP starting line-up had 13 Junior Boks/SA Schools players, Griquas had 2.

Oh boy! That sure is some kak rugby. Only watching to see how Lesley Botha goes. He has a huge reputation. Also Cohen Jasper from Varsity cup. If Free State played with any ambition they'd cream Pumas. Instead they're allowing themselves to be drawn into a forward battle. A big problem in our rugby is that the ball carriers are taking contact with the ball, not moving the ball away from contact.
Have to agree. Western Cape school rugby are played at a higher level than this.FalseBayFC wrote: Fri Jul 09, 2021 2:53 pm Oh boy! That sure is some kak rugby. Cheetahs are very rusty.
If the Pumas win, they go top of the log.
The ref worry me.
