They're a horrible team to play. They make everything a scrap.TheFrog wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 2:39 pm Sale Sharks do well to slow down the ball and kill any momentum for Racing.
I see that.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 2:40 pmThey're a horrible team to play. They make everything a scrap.TheFrog wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 2:39 pm Sale Sharks do well to slow down the ball and kill any momentum for Racing.
In fairness, I switched the TV on late, just to see a Flake kick from inside his 22s for something that I believe he intended for his winger only to give it on a platter to the Sale's fullback 35m inside his own camp and that prompted me to come here to see whether Torque was rampaging here

The Racing forwards need to up their game. They are getting minced at scrum time, can't recycle the ball fast and never manage to get over the gain line.
The old saying remains true. Forwards decide who wins the game. And for the moment, the Sharks forwards have the upper hand

Great kick by Finn and sensational from Thomas.
Dupont is young and can progress. He needs to improve on his game management and seek to rely less on his outstanding physical abilities.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 7:22 amYou are correct, in a way. See above. He is taking on too much himself because he cannot rely upon his 10 to his job. I keep going back to that Cardiff game as the perfect example. Cardiff 3rd team: with some semi pros FFS. Ntamack had no f**king idea how to manage a game in the wet when his fwds had total dominance. He was made to look a mug by a part time FH. In the end, Dupont had to win the game single handedly. And that trend has continued for both Toulouse and France. Toulouse have actually been better with Holmes at FH and he's not very good.EnergiseR2 wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 7:18 am I've seen Dupont have matches like that frequently. Confirmation bias means when he is not playing well and then does something half decent people go 'look he is super human I told you'. In a way he could become France's weakness. Target him effectively and it gets a bit sketchy for them
Thing is with France, there's a lot of politics. Play for Toulouse and have an iconic dad, and you get into the ntl side. Even if you are rubbish. I give you Skrela..........
TBC, France has a genuine shot at winning the RWC but there is no way that will happen if Ntamack plays.
PS NEVER take any notice of what Toulouse fans say about their own players. They are wonderful supporters but the most myopic on the planet when it comes to their own players. Medard FFS![]()
I have no doubt he will progress though because he listens a lot, is humble and is a workaholic.
The kick was a bit too sideways and not deep enough i think. 99% of the time it would have been a touch.
I think the ref wanted to check whether Fickou was onside initially or whether his tackle on Tuilagui was legal.
Thomas tried to milk it here but it was borderline yellow card here because Thomas is a rocket and slowing him down was a try saver.

Literally bounced into Thomas' arms
Thomas was 1mn from being in touch though. That's how difficult catching this ball was.I like neeps wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 3:19 pmTheFrog wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 3:10 pmThe kick was a bit too sideways and not deep enough i think. 99% of the time it would have been a touch.![]()

TMO can always call the ref back. Penalty hadn't been played.
By the way, does the TMO only see the feed we have?
Yes, and can hear the commentators as well, which is a problem when Healey and Kay are commentating on Leicester...
