French reject NZ Rugby’s bid to move an All Blacks test to the USA next year

New Zealand Rugby has been knocked back in its bid to move one of the All Blacks’ three tests against France next year to the United States.

The All Blacks will host France in July and NZ Rugby wanted to take the third test of the series to the west coast of the United States, similar to how they played Fiji in San Diego earlier this year.

However, NZ Rugby confirmed on Thursday that the French had rejected the plan.

“We explored the possibility of taking a test to America, but that match will be in New Zealand,” said NZ Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson in a statement.
Good.

So NZ Rugby think it's OK to take a HOME test offshore a la Team Fucking Emirates whenever they feel like?

Taking a one-off romp against Fiji to San Diego is one thing, but the third test of a domestic 3-test series against France? Fuck right off with that shit!

Disgraceful behaviour. That Robinson clown needs to go imho.
Robinson isn't the one who makes these decisions, he merely CEO who acts on Boards decisions. I not keen on idea of taking tests offshore, but can understand why they think of these ideas, we saw what happened at Caketin when Pumas were there, bugger all crowd, so maybe if French were thinking bringing 2nd team, might struggle to make as much money as we would want, and then we go crook because they not making enough money?
I think we may see game at Hamilton or New Plymouth?

Nothing mate, just pisspoor crowd turned out for Puma's test (think it had to do with Olympics being on too). As I said I not keen on tets going overseas, but Mrs and I already earmaked tests for next year, will do at least one French test and hopefully both Bok tests, though I not all that keen on Eden park, just because it in Auckland, a place I don't like particularly. But many people that will go crook about a test going overseas probably weren't going to them all (not talking about posters here)

Pretty sure the senior management of most organisations not only report to their board but also make recommendations to them.

Regardless, I reserve the right to irrationally lash out at the nearest easy target, and Robinson's the face of NZ Rugby, so... there has to be a hanging!

Oh, and the Cake Tin's cursed. I blame Robinson for that, too.
