This by the laws. Although I think it's a more sensible outcome than the laws allow for.

Must admit that the ABS have got back to their players at ruck lazily running back across the scrum half’s pass line.

Enforcement changed this season and seatbelt tackles like that were only penalised if contact was made with the head or neck. Initial contact simply being above the shoulder didn't matter.

Anywhere else on the pitch thatr's called a high tackle. Bizarre.

Lol, let's just agree that this is not Ireland's match.

Try harder (and more composure) next week lads.

It's never a high tackle. Carberry isn't upright.

Not sure what Ireland can take from tonight. AB's can and will undoubtedly get better, i don't think Ireland have the players to do the same.

Ireland No.16 is clearly fucked after that tackle.

For the most part, Ire's composure in all the key moments has been pish. That really isn't like them and I'd expect that to get that bit sorted.

Really strange match. Ireland started brilliantly but after knocking at the door they did a couple of silly things to let in the 1st two tries and it was almost like they switched into plucky loser mode.

Not convinced the score is a fair reflection of the game but certainly an indication of the AB's lethal finishing.

That Whitelock turnover is a great example of why the ball carrier trying to steal more ground by rolling (or crawling) can be a bad thing if your own support is slow.

Why? The ref spelt out the law. And it was shoulder and therefore not foul play.

Technically a tackle that starts above the shoulder line isn't legal, however, as is often the way these days, a directive has superceded the law as written and that sort of tackle hasn't been penalised this season.

As per the Soup threads, most of us think he's military medium at very best. I don't see how he's ahead of Fakatava (esp) Perenara or Weber.

Yeah, he's a good example of a lad who looks great playing with Leinster but short some of the basic skill set for his position, which gets exposed at international level.

Ireland's won't win if they don't fix their 1st phase. The All Blacks look very good.

Another potentially questionable clearout that has not been checked. Player safety?
