Do you follow rugby....Sharks supporters don't take shit from their Union. Neither do the old boys....
Meh.
I know that you're on a troll, but I'm not sure what value he brings to the side apart from the celebrity factor.
And I fear that, in a side without major stars, that could disrupt the team.
I don't want to belittle his achievements and he was part of a fantastic 'Bok side, but I can't help feel that his recruitment was more as a publicity stunt to satisfy the investment contingent than any real need to strengthen the team.
However, maybe I'm wrong and reuniting him with Am, Mapimpi and Nkosi will prove a masterstroke.

Kolisi has been a passenger at the Stormers since he was Bok captain. Kitshoff is our leader now for years. WP got a R1 million cash bonus for this. F uck knows what his salary was.
Dobson still have the same player budget.
Big win situation for WP.

So that is what is happening to Kolisi's salary. Not investing it in the players. No Sir. Investing in lawyers for the upcoming legal battles.19 FEB 2021 | 09:57
FEMALE LEGAL EAGLES TO BRING 'PROPER GOVERNANCE' AND 'STABILITY' TO WP BOARD
Online EditorsONLINE EDITORS
In line with pursuing its stated goals of achieving excellence, both on and off the field and underpinned by sound governance and leadership in the company, Western Province Professional Rugby Board has appointed two additional Independent Directors.

The additional Directors are two top female independent legal minds – Janine Myburgh and Melene Rossouw.
“It is expected that their appointment will support the drive to ensure governance stability and integrity,” WPPR (Pty) Ltd said in a statement.
The WPPR Board boasts three female Independent Directors and the appointment of Rossouw and Myburgh secures it a majority of Independent Directors.
Myburgh is Managing Director of Myburgh Attorneys, a mediator, facilitator and attorney with the right of appearance in the High Court. She has completed the advanced judicial training required to serve as a judge and serves on a number of regulatory, risk and legal panels.
She is the only woman and youngest person to lead the Cape Chamber of Commerce and the South African Council of Business Women.
Myburgh has also served on or led numerous trusts and NPO Boards. An honourary Consul to Canada, with honouree member status to the UN and an International Award Winner, she is a respected speaker, thinker and leader in her field.

Rossouw is an internationally recognised human rights activist, global award winner, public speaker, moderator, facilitator, strategist and consultant.
She is an attorney by profession, with 13 years of experience in the private, governmental and non-governmental sectors. She has served in respected offices such as the Constitutional Court of South Africa, Western Cape High Court, The Presidency of South Africa and two National Government Ministries. She is also a member of the African Women Leadership Network.
“These appointments demonstrate our commitment to proper governance, stability, gender balance and integrity into the immediate future of professional rugby in the Western Province,” WPPR board Chairman Ebrahim Rasool said.
“We have incredible potential as a company and have some valuable assets in our world-class players, top sponsors and, of course, our passionate support base.

“We welcome Janine and Melene to the Board, and look forward to benefitting from their experience as we grow into the future,” he concluded.
Why do the WP need another 10? They already have Kade and Tim while they wait another 4 or 5 years for Wazza to mature.
He is still very young, you know?
It is a 'boardroom war' at Newlands

UPDATE: The Western Province Rugby Football Union boardroom saga took a bizarre new twist this week and fractious President Zelt Marais is again at the centre of the drama.
Junaid Moerat, one of the most prominent members of the WPRFU executive, has been suspended.
However, details and reasons for the ‘suspension’ remain unclear.
“I have been advised not to comment at this stage,” Moerat told @rugby365com on Saturday.
“My legal team is looking into the matter,” he added.
Marais, at the time of publishing this article, has not responded to a request for comment.
His reaction will be added if/when available.
Earlier reports suggest that Moerat stands accused of ‘leaking information to the media’.
Moerat was, reportedly, set to be unveiled as the interim Chief Executive Officer of the WP Professional Rugby (Pty) Ltd this past week.
However, according to the Cape Town media, Marais suspended Moerat on the same day that his appointment to the board of WPPR was to be announced.
Moerat is now set to face a disciplinary hearing, reportedly on March 4.
This has caused a storm that could result in Marais being removed as President at a Special General Meeting on March 8 – when clubs plan to bring a ‘vote of no confidence’ in Marais.
However, currently, the only points on the agenda for the meeting are:
* Move to the Cape Town Stadium
* Finances
* Election of the vice-president
The position of vice-president became vacant when Spencer King resigned late last year.
The March 8 meeting will be the first general meeting of the WPRFU constituents this year.
If the clubs garner enough support, the ‘vote of no confidence’ could be added.
The latest fall-out follows the dramatic statement last week, when Marais was forced to backtrack on his verbalism regarding the infamous Newlands saga and all other WPRFU negotiations.
Marais recently had a virtual interview with @rugby365com contributor Angus Opperman.
In the broad-gauged interview, Marais addressed everything from ‘fake news’ in the media, the ‘inconsistent’ performances of the Stormers/WP team, the Remgro/Investec saga, the ongoing fight with Flyt and the move to the Cape Town Stadium.
However, following a meeting between Marais and the Board of Western Province Professional Rugby (WPPR), the President has been advised to withdraw his comments.
You can't blame Siya for paying R1 million of his own money to get away from this.
One can understand why Siya paid R1 million out of his own money to get away from clown college. It is a 'boardroom war' at Newlands

Kitshoff set to sign Stormers extension

Springbok loosehead prop Steven Kitshoff is set to be named as the Stormers’ new captain as he finalises details around a new contract with Western Province Rugby.
According to Netwerk24, Kitshoff is in advanced negotiations for a new contract with Western Province after being earmarked as the team’s new captain, succeeding Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, who this week completed his move to the Sharks.
Kitshoff’s agent, Hilton Houghton, confirmed that he is busy finalising the 2019 World Cup-winner’s contract with WP Rugby. The 29-year-old’s current deal runs through until 2023.
The decision to name Kitshoff as the new captain is a logical one, as he filled the role effectively during Kolisi’s injury-enforced absence last year. It will also be a major boost for WP Rugby to hold on to one of their talisman players, given that Kolisi and loose forward Jaco Coetzee have left the team in quick succession.
Western Province are planning to officially confirm next week the players who have extended their contracts.
Meanwhile, Western Province have managed to sign young loose forward Evan Roos from the Sharks. Roos, who is able to play at both No 8 and flank, joins as Juarno Augustus continues to be linked to a move abroad with the Northampton Saints.
Various reports – both locally and abroad – have suggested that Augustus will be heading off to England in just a matter of time.
SARugbymag.co.za understands that there was no request for permission to engage in such negotiations, while it’s also believed that he has no get-out clause.
