Yup, LaR with 1/4 the performance they put in against Leinster. Toulouse finally woke up to only 14 men and tried passing instead of kicking it away.

Jesus Kerrrist. West and Botia have cost LaR dear. Miserable kicking display. Brock James in disguise.

West should be buying the whole team's drinks after that chip. What on earth was he thinking?

He had a f**king nightmare. His missed kicks (all of them routine) cost them the game alone. And that with 14 men.

Just finished watching.

I’m normally one who goes out of their way to praise the ref but that was an utterly appalling match for the team.

Pierce is one of the best but was massively let down, particularly by the TMO

I know it was 2 French teams but the British media seem to be largely ignoring this.

With all the Kiwis, Aussies and Saffas playing, I was surprised how conservative a game it was. Just one man off throughout.. rarely two or three passes put together...... a tough watch for a neutral....

Japan final has 20 minutes to run. It's quite open but ball control is fairly poor and mauls are very gentle.

Easy money indeed.

Sadly all French affairs always seem to serve up duds as a spectacle. Some mitigations: Toulouse had an enormous injury list whilst it was LaR's first shot and just when they were getting going, Botia engaged full retard mode.

If he does not break, he will become very, very good. Cros is very strong as well. With Jelong coming next year, they will have quite a backrow.

A shame as I have seen both sides play fantastic rugby on other days.. maybe the occasion got to them as well...

Had my reservations on Cros who looked good early on and them seemed to lose discipline. However, he has an engine like Aldritt and LeRoux. Jelonch has gone backwards over the last year so hoping Toulouse gets him back on track.

Finals are often fairly tight, cagey affairs regardless of who's playing.

I don't think you have seen Jelonch playing lately. Very happy to see him joining.

Castets out for months. Very tough for the guy.
