Hy het laasjaar ook die Maties geknou. Was by Springbok op skool. Pumas het hom klaar geteken. Rowwe Diamante.

Despite the Tukkies win, the quality rugby in the semi & final was better then the CC. Lots of talent coming through.

Ten minutes added on by the ref. Crazy. Stellenbosch mafia. Game scheduled for 70 minutes. Maties score in minute 80. Plain cheating.

I see Ebenezer Tshimanga the big Wynberg congolese wing that played SA schools and u20 is off to Section Paloise in France. The problem is these Congolese/SA kids like the Tshitukas and Madosh Tambwe don't have SA passports. They need to do something about that. They have all come here as small children too.

Crowd at Danie Craven was 16000 last night. My younger daughter now also a Matie so I now have two kids there. I'll definitely make my way up for a couple of games. Great atmosphere.

Varsity Cup kicked off last night . Now the students going back to betoger days.
The student protests linked to the housing crisis at higher learning institutions across the country have spilled over onto the rugby field, with the opening 2025 Varsity Cup match between the University of Cape Town Tigers and North-West University Eagles postponed.

The teams were unable to take the field for the 4.45pm kickoff at the Green Mile in Cape Town after many students sat right in the middle of the rugby field and refused to move.

There is currently a massive student accommodation crisis around the country, with students left stranded and some even sleeping on the streets.

On Monday morning there were two protests in Cape Town, with students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s (CPUT) District Six campus and UCT demanding accommodation ahead of the start of the academic year.
