I read he had quite a good game but the games I've seen him live (only 3 or 4) he has been pretty average with a few very good touches. He was meant to be the next big thing but is he?

This is not a troll.
Currently the top points scorer in the league. Is a little less flaky than the rest of the team but is still a good young player playing for a poor team with largely poor delivery from 9 with that entails for a flyhalf. I don't think he's actually much better than the other young 10s around - Joe Simmonds, Manu Vunipola, Jacob Umaga, Grayson (who admittedly fared very poorly in the head to head) but most of those sides have far better packs and 9s. If he had a little more top end pace he'd be ridiculous, his running ability is already excellent but sometimes doesn't quite have the gas to make the most of the gaps he creates.

I don't think he's consistently amazing or anything but it needs context; put him behind the Exeter pack and he'd look incredible.

Thank you.

Read an interview with him a couple of weeks ago where a said he wanted to be the best player in the world. My first thought was that he needed to be a bit further on if that was realistic so thanks for the context. No problem with him saying that mind you

Best flyhalf in the world, I think it was. Commentators referenced it during the Saints game when he was arguing with Joe Marchant - something along the lines of "well, I've played with Beauden Barrett and Dan Carter, mate..."

“I genuinely want to be the best player in the world, the best fly half”

Fairly moot either way I guess

He's mostly shit and does the odd good thing. Will probably see his game time limited as Brett Heron steps up. His hair looks a bit silly and he always purses his bottom lip in a child-about-to-cry way when he's kicking from the tee.
