You'd have to be spectacularly naive to think other clubs have not made illegal payments that contravene salary caps.
Yeah, it's naïve to not agree with a random conspiracy theory generated by a poster on an internet forum, with not one shred of evidence or even shady cover-up, just because they say so
To be fair to Toga - I'd genuinely be surprised if at least one other club wasn't up to some shenanigans. That of course is just my hunch and there is zero basis in fact for it and so doesn't support his invented conspiracy theory one bit.

What are the odds that no Championship is played this year, and thus no promotion? Obviously such an outcome is an incredibly shit one for a whole lot of real clubs, players and employees, but I'd be lying if a teeny smile didn't cross my face at the thought of Sarries spending another year out of the top flight (not the highest ground I've ever stood on I realise)

Barbarians have called up 11 Saracens players now. Plus the 4 or 5 in the England team they'll be playing against.

Not bad for a championship team.

I'm of course happy to accept that other clubs could be on the fix. I just have no reason to suspect so.

Certainly the narrative that's come out is probably a few when on the fix some years ago, they all agreed to not to be as it was not in the leagues interests. Except Sarries found new levels of piss taking and that has genuinely angered other clubs who did try to stay in the rules.

It’s a bit shameful really that punishments can be doubled and re-doubled with no basis I can see in Premiership rules. Sarries deserved punishment. Celebrating their obliteration by means of a pandemic is “burn the witch” stuff. You surprise me, EDF.

Actually they have a very good basis for doing so.

And no it's not 'burn the witch' stuff. Which burning was done to innocent women on heresay, false heresy and rumour, not fact. Sarries are cheats who deserve their punishment is a fact.

Yes, they deserve their punishment. Do you think they deserve to face outcomes worse than the intended punishment because of the intervention of Covid?

I'd say you're great fun at parties

Besides that's clearly not what you meant - Covid hasn't doubled and re-doubled their punishment - PRL did and with good reason according to their own laws.

It's the blind apologism that keeps adding fuel to this fire!

1. I am great fun at parties. A leg-end, actually.
2. I’m always hugely unimpressed by people who tell me what I mean or don’t mean.
3. You have missed my point by some margin.
4. I’m not apologising and there’s no fire.

For my own part, my question regarding the Championship's completion was quite obviously facetious and mischievous, which you 'appeared' to take rather seriously - hence my no fun at parties jibe.

You said that it was shameful that their punishment was doubled and redoubled without a grounding in the rules - that's just plain false and whether you meant it that way or not (what other way is there?), it reads as apologism for Sarries actions.

Please feel free to fill me in on what else I'm missing because as you say it seems I'm missing it by quite some margin.

This might come as a surprise to you but not everyone thinks Saracens should be hung, drawn and quartered.
