It's only the Porras. The players from this test I think KLA, Am, SMZ, Mapimpi. Reinach, Grobbies, Moerat, RG, BJD will go to Australia.

She was fantastic, even my Mrs agree. I never argue with her.Biffer wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 5:41 pm Sadly there are plenty of misogynist halfwits on social media talking about the ref. But probably more saying good job.
Yeah, it’s one of the best things about her, always very clear communicating with the players, and never flustered. Pretty sure she’ll get a 6Ns game next year.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 6:06 pmShe was fantastic, even my Mrs agree. And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
She's okay, we've all seen her in the URC.Biffer wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 5:41 pm Sadly there are plenty of misogynist halfwits on social media talking about the ref. But probably more saying good job.
Warning Snyman and reversing a penalty was incorrect though, Portugal's prop with the long hair is a known thug (I watched every match of the RWC, he was carded and one of the commentators said he had amassed 25+ cards of different colours in club rugby). He was very obviously going out of his way to repeatedly professional foul/play off the ball Snyman, there were other Portugal forwards doing it one she warned near the end of the match, but he was the worst. Poor game management to never penalise the instigator but penalise the player who eventually reacts. A different opponent on a different day and that could've become an out of control shit show, the Boks come to play rugby but if the ref isn't stopping the fight they'll do that too.
I mean, those of us who aren’t South African might have something to say about painting Snyman as a victim of a wee bit of dirty / niggly play for a change, but fair enough._Os_ wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 6:13 pmShe's okay, we've all seen her in the URC.Biffer wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 5:41 pm Sadly there are plenty of misogynist halfwits on social media talking about the ref. Grobbelaar I really like the look of, reminds me a lot of Brussow but a bit bigger, strong over the ball at the breakdown, even has the white scrum cap. Reckon he could play openside easily, but would definitely have him in the squad as a hooker if there's room.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 5:13 pm It's only the Porras. Wessels I'm also liking the look of, not sure I would have him at prop though, he can play in the backrow looks like more of a eightman to me. Thought he was better than the starting backrows.
Snyman played well, crazy what he can do through the contact with the ball in one hand.
Am was really good, covered both centre positions for the entire match, against opposing backs that aren't slow and spread the ball. Good try when the Boks were down to 13 and he carved through them. Never really thought Kriel was better than him tbh and would've had him in the 23 against Ireland already.
Reinach/Arendse/Mapimpi looking sharp enough. SFM is an obvious talent but still has a lot of work to do, failed to make a tackle which led to a try, he's probably more talented than Fassi but I would put Fassi ahead of him at the moment because he makes less errors and is stronger under the high ball (Le Roux and Willemse ahead of both of them).
Out of the players with a shot of the 23 if everyone is fit, only Libbok looks like a worry. His goal kicking is too erratic for him to be the main kicker, for me he's just not a test level kicker.
I'm cool watching the Boks fight, if that's what we're doing. It's been a very long time since that has happened.Biffer wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 6:16 pmI mean, those of us who aren’t South African might have something to say about painting Snyman as a victim of a wee bit of dirty / niggly play for a change, but fair enough._Os_ wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 6:13 pmShe's okay, we've all seen her in the URC.Biffer wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 5:41 pm Sadly there are plenty of misogynist halfwits on social media talking about the ref. If we're not watching a fight and we're actually watching a rugby match, then repeated off the ball bullshit should be penalised. Not the player who eventually reacts, and not a warning at the very end of the game for what has been happening the entire match. It's just poor game management from the ref.
When has Snyman ever been a dirty player? Nothing dirty about his play at all. It's the opposite, he's the biggest guy on the team so attracts all the dickheads from the other side trying to make a name for themselves.
There were a lot of Porra traitors in the crowd for this one.
