I've managed to avoid this whole tournament so far... completely. Not my cup of tea.
I have though, found a live stream through a news outket just in time for the penalty shoot out.
Vamos, Malvinas.

Argentina deserve the WC. They were better on the day.

You can change that stat now.................Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 4:21 pmI see you distorted the point. Only 2 European sides has ever won off own continent: as per above, Spain in SA and the Krauts in Braz. South American sides have done it 5 times.Biffer wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 4:15 pm Only one South American team has ever won in europe, same as only one European team has ever won in the Americas.
There is no return to an old order because SAm sides dominated until 2000 by the only metric that matters: winners.

If you are counting Russia as Europe then Mexico and USA are America.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 5:59 pmYou can change that stat now.................Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 4:21 pmI see you distorted the point. No. Our argument was over how SAm sides have won off their own continent way more times than Europeans.petej wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:03 pmIf you are counting Russia as Europe then Mexico and USA are America.Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 5:59 pmYou can change that stat now.................Torquemada 1420 wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 4:21 pm

France take their silver medals with proud. English rugby can learn from them
I still get Man Utd fans pulling some pointless stats out of their arse.Fonz wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:26 pmAre there people still on Team Ronaldo? Had a good friend who loved Ronaldo. When pressed he'd always just go back to "but but but...he only uses his left foot!" He got years worth of mileage out of that.sefton wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:42 pmI still get Man Utd fans pulling some pointless stats out of their arse.Fonz wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:26 pmAre there people still on Team Ronaldo? RWC 19. I do understand it better now. Some of their supporters are the same. Its either the ref or their own players having a bad game but never the opposition.Ymx wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:26 pm Was it the RWC 19 or Euro soccer 20 you were talking about, silver medal thing.
Edit: you said rugby.
Thanks for taking some time away from sending rape threats to Polly Barnes to share your thoughts here on this thread (involving different nations in a different sport).OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:50 pmRWC 19. Oom has specialised knowledge on the dynamics of referee blaming by a fan base. He's here to help us all understand more about that.tc27 wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 8:40 pmThanks for taking some time away from sending rape threats to Polly Barnes to share your thoughts here on this thread (involving different nations in a different sport).OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:50 pmRWC 19. When did this become a policed thing? I feel like this is a daily mail or uk tabloid press nonsense. Unfortunately, they now have global reach so many other naive souls will be exposed to them.boere wors wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:19 pmLe General Deschamps would have torn them a new one had they taken it offYmx wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:01 pmI’d forgotten about that appalling display.OomStruisbaai wrote: Sun Dec 18, 2022 6:37 pm France take their silver medals with proud. Deschamps is the type of guy who would probably chuck his runners up medal in the bin.
