Due to the heavy flooding in KwaZulu-Natal and the considerable loss of life and infrastructure damage across the province, and out of respect to their community in the face of the disaster the province is enduring, the two teams have agreed to cancel this encounter.

As there was no alternative option to reschedule the match, the result will be declared a draw and the log points will be shared, with each team awarded two log points."
It's the right decision, but not sure why they couldn't just postpone it to later in the season.

Is Kade Wolhuter still recovering from his injury?

If not he is playing behind a proper journeyman.

Lions were about to score, Whitehead was caught at the wrong side of the ruck , then Jannie decided he need to slap hom on the head. Whitehead got a yellow and the ref reverse the penalty, should be at least a yellow to Jannie also.

Frans Steyn is incredible. Today has convinced me that he has to be in the RWC 2023 squad. He must be close to 120kg now. He needs to lose 10kg. I'm not optimistic but maybe he'll surprise us. Still great value as a super-sub at test level though.

Vok Paarwater. The Cheetahs were pretty ordinary and will need to step up. They played against a bunch of laaities. Their scrum need to be much better against the other top teams.

That was a bloody entertaining game!

I tuned just to watch Frans Steyn. He's just world class, even if he needs to shed some timber. I really hope he keeps up the form and gets some game time against Wales. Perhaps he should be loaned to the $harks so he can get some gametime against the big Irish team.

It's just ludicrous that the Cheetahs aren't in a proper competition at the moment, apart from the CC.

So the Leopards and Eastern Province have agreed to come up to Nairobi for their games against Kenya. Kudos to them, they're in for a great reception and I'll certainly be there. Wonderful to see them making the effort.

WP still think they can get in the semis. Will copy the Sharks and Bulls using some URC players to sharpen their match fitness for next week.

If any of the URC team played and got injured Stormers would be in dire trouble. Good call not to play them. With 1 win of the season WP have no chance of making the finals

They can if they win their remaining matches. But I am glad they didn't select URC players.

Stormers bench is stronger then the Sharks.
