I don't particularly need to watch the replays of Maro sparking himself.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:57 amWhy bother replying to the troll?sockwithaticket wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:56 amIrony metres everywhere just spontaneously combusted.

Good half but should have put them away already. People will judge the reasons for themselves but Smith is not clicking for England

Seriously though ... why are the Aussies wearing colonial helmets? Can't imagine an SA crowd doing that.boere wors wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:14 amThe crowd is middle aged whites with orange colonial helmets on their headsASMO wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:09 am This is all just a bit weird.
Crowd are not really getting into it.
Aussie half time coverage is about indigenous Aussie culture, not the actual first half so far.
Seems like they're having a nervous breakdown.
I think he has been fine, few shit kicks, but in hand he has made the England backline more threatening.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:00 am Good half but should have put them away already. People will judge the reasons for themselves but Smith is not clicking for England

Yep England are playing well despite Smith it could be said at this point. Still they played well - let's see if they can turn around that last quarter stat.Paddington Bear wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:00 am Good half but should have put them away already. Smith's doing fine, a few shit kicks aside. Putting players into space, some good kicks among the bad, getting us playing at pace. Dovetailing much better with Farrell who's been asked to actually play 12 this week. Ironically it's exactly the sort of game that Marchant would've thrived in and Porter's not shown up at all.

That's a reach, ball in hand Smith has been putting players into space, it's not his fault the attack breaks down when others are making passes (or not) or not supporting the breakdown properly.
Tactical kicking has been below par, though.

That's him gone for some time, poor sod.
Good point from both of you…

That might be the biggest carry of Stuart's England career.

The kick through under penalty advantage appeared to confuse at least 14 England players.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:21 am Freeman has a lot of gas.
Smith's little kicks down the middle are exactly the sort of thing that Marchant is on top of every timeHe's not playing, Marcus, keep the ball in hand
Yeah, he shaped to kick to the wing first so I'm not surprised. It's a frequent tactic so players who are used to him will expect it but with a semi scratch team every week it's a very low percentage playDinsdale Piranha wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:23 amThe kick through under penalty advantage appeared to confuse at least 14 England players.JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:21 am Freeman has a lot of gas.

Still shouldn’t kick on 1st play penalty advantage …JM2K6 wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:24 amYeah, he shaped to kick to the wing first so I'm not surprised. Shouldn't have been selected for the tour. I'm a little bit sick of hearing Eddie say someone's training well when they've been in poor form all year. There're also plenty of supporters out there who back selecting Underhill on the basis of things he did years ago.Oxbow wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 11:32 am Underhill playing like he's still in a Bath shirt, there's a surprise.
