I find the way Argentina are covered by British pundits embarrassing full stop. A while back but I vividly remember the 2015 WC where pre match vs Ireland they were discussing ‘Argentina might even believe they can win this’ before they tore Ireland apart.Slick wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:10 pmFair enough. To be honest didn’t massively notice it yesterday except the Ireland game - bit we get used to that from the URC.Paddington Bear wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:06 pmThis is a recurring theme from yesterday as well, in fairness. Barclay (I think it was him?) went on and on at the ref for any decision going against Scotland, Warbs and Shanklin were horrific as discussed and Bowe was hectoring Habana about the ref through half time. Send them all to different gamesSlick wrote: Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:02 pm Listening to these commentators it’s unfathomable how England are not the best team in the world by a long long way and winning this match by over 100
There was one point where they were going on about how awful it much be for the Argies having to tackle some of the big England players- the same argies that have just spent the last 6 weeks playing SA, NZ and OZ
They’re still treated as a bit of a novelty rather than a serious tier 1 side who’ve made world cup semis and beaten every other tier 1 side
