Should still be too strong for Scarlets in their current form.

That's mental.

Debut.....

That's an impressive looking B team.
Most of these boys will be wanting to secure their place in the starting side going forward

Meh. Can't say that $harks team excites me. Not sure what it is, just no character to it.

Would've liked to have seen Bennett and Kinghorn back in the 23 at least. Good to see Harrison, Muncaster and Boyle getting game time though.

I’m amazed that Boyle is fit, he took a hell of a clatter against Cardiff

I don't think we'll see a less deserved YC than that this season..

The Zebre player himself turned a simple tackle into a card.

Doak did the exact same - edit sorry was that the tackle you were talking about,? Doak didn't need to lift the legs

Zebre can be nice to watch, but they are fragile as fuck

Yeah, it was the Doak card.

I know they don't want to get into judging outcomes; but there's a massive difference between taking a player out, & tipping from 1m, & hitting them already low, & them dropping from less than 30cm. At some point it's okay for the ref to exercise a little judgement.

Can't believe that the only offer Kvesic had was from Zebre. Still I hope his experience helps the youngsters he has around him

Zebre remind me a little of Edinburgh under Michael Bradley, pretty rugby, often exciting, but get battered against anyone with structure and a good pack - the softest of underbellies

Yes, his influence is still visible, but he did a much better job with them than anyone else has so far

Considering this squad is basically completely new; I don't think they're doing too bad for their 8th game together ?

There seems to be a dearth of good defensive coaches across rugby; the pundits, including Barclay, were tearing into Scarlets performance earlier, for how dismal their defense was.

The stupid part is that a good defense is possible for any squad; as it's not really a matter of needing particular skills, or physical prowess; you just need a plan, & commitment from the players.

Just on the first part, there are a lot of ex-League players who could fill that void, to take in the Barclay comments, it's just about getting up off the floor, time and again and making that next tackle, but under a structure.

Defence was the first, easiest, thing that Union sorted when the game went pro, we just adopted the League set ups. Of course it has developed since then as attacks have matured, but it's still all about the line.

On that note, I didn't know until this week that MND fundraiser legend Kevin Sinfield is the Leicester defence coach.

That man is great, he's done so much for MND research through his love for his mate Rob Burrow

The SA teams defense has been very good thanks to the Bok coach influence. He help at every franchise fixing it.

Nienaber. When Rassie took over in 2018 he visited every franchise putting in the structures.

No team defend better then the Springboks. It's been Nienaber’s speciality.

The Stormers balance their attacking play with the rush defense. Dobson coaching has been very good. New set of players but sticking to their plan.
