Hectic MANPADS strike on a KA-52. Reported to be around Kherson region.
Edit: Likely a MI-35. Has a single rotor.

Hey ho, another day - another "misfortune"
Russia's largest gas field Urengoy on fire in Yamalo-Nenets region.
The fire erupted after a pipeline burst near one of the production units. The accident happened during night and emergency personnel were on site early morning 16th of June, Telegram channel Gaz-Batyushka informs.
The Urengoy is Russia’s biggest natural gas field with reserves up to 10 trillion cubic meters. It is operated by Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, a regional subsidiary unit of national energy company Gazprom.
As previously noted, the Urengoy gas field in the Yamalo-Nenets region is the world’s second-largest natural gas field behind the South Pars/North Dome field located in the Persian Gulf.

Even if it's not sabotage, it's evidence that lack of maintenance due to lack of parts is starting to bite massively.

Oh how I wish one of these could be deployed to Ukraine.
If the Russian morale is bad now, imagine what it would be like, after a few nights punctured by 20mm cannon rounds, burrrrttttting their locations, & Hellfires picking off armored vehicles, smart munitions, & 105mm rounds smashing command bunkers; & all coming from one platform that can loiter around for hours, so no one gets any sleep, & after a couple of days of that abuse, any coherent thought is impossible.

yeah, that's the big problem
Yep, good for blasting through jungle overgrowth. Not a thing you want to be in if the opposition has a stinger missile on hand.

Put another way, it’s a weapon a rich country uses against another country / group too poor to afford the fraction of the plane’s cost it takes to buy missiles able to turn into a tangled, smoking mess.
A thing I would note in this is that the west's bigger strengths and advantages over Russia in air power is not available to Ukraine. Very much a war fought to Russia's strengths and our weaknesses. The fact that Russia still hasn't got complete control over the sky indicates how weak their air forces are.

This is nice from the Kyiv Independent:
Ukraine to unveil reconstruction plan in July. As part of the “Reconstruction Plan of Ukraine-United 24,” each partner country would be in charge of a particular region or industry, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said. Denmark has already agreed to take charge of the restoration of Mykolaiv, the Baltic countries of the Zhytomyr Oblast, and Portugal of rebuilding Ukrainian schools.
A thing I would note in this is that the west's bigger strengths and advantages over Russia in air power is not available to Ukraine. Very much a war fought to Russia's strengths and our weaknesses. The fact that Russia still hasn't got complete control over the sky indicates how weak their air forces are.
Ukrainian Armed Forces say they shot down Russian plane, captured pilot in Donetsk Oblast. The 72nd Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on Facebook that it shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft with an Igla surface-to-air missile system.
And here's why Russia can't get control of the sky. SAMs are just too effective. When even (sorry) Georgia was giving the Russian airforce a hard time with missile losses you can see the balance of power on the modern battlefield and why the US is spending billions upon billions on SEAD interdiction capabilities which the Russians simply don't have.
In the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian artillerymen destroyed the command post of the 20th combined-arms army, killing more than 40 Russian invaders.
This was announced by Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsymbalyuk on his Facebook page.
“On June 17, as a result of an artillery strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region, the command post of the 20th combined-arms army (military unit 89425, Voronezh) of the Western Military District was destroyed,” the journalist wrote.
According to him, all the personnel who were at the command post died.
The military personnel of the highest command level of the 20th combined-arms army and the duty shift of the 533rd command and intelligence center (military unit 32801, Voronezh) of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff were liquidated.
Tsymbalyuk notes that the identity of the dead Russian soldiers cannot be established due to the complete burning of the bodies, as well as due to the collapse of the building.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 800 Russian soldiers of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade were destroyed in the battles on the territory of Ukraine, and about 400 more people were injured.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian soldiers forced the enemy to leave the village of Dmitrovka in the Kharkiv region.
Hope this is verified, there was never any confirmed update on the destruction of the attack on the Wagner Merc camp of a few days ago where later reports suggested 20 - 30 dead instead of 200+ originally claimed.
At least for Russian forces, a few sources scour the Russian media for burial/memorial reports so maybe we'll learn more in due course. Not Wagner of course as no-one cares about those fuckers.

Presume that it's okay to shoot Wagner mercs out of hand based on Russia's interpretation of international law?

Actually I can easily believe the Ukrajnian causality figures - infact considering the length of the front and the amount of indirect fire they may even be low balls.
Thing is this is war in the industrial age so the loss of lives and equipment will be absolutely brutal but not fatal as long as Ukraine has the will to fight (and as they probaly know their fate if they don't then I assume they are well motivated!).
Ukraine has a population of 40 million - I am roughly guessing they have over a million in the 18-40 age group which probaly means they can mobilise 700-900k if necessary.
The issue will be training them quickly enough to be effective and replaced lost experience

The yanks annihilated hundreds in Syria.
They called up the Russian command in Syria to ask if they were Russian troops encroaching on the yanks position and when the Russians denied any knowledge of troops in the area they got absolutely fucked
A series of tweets explaining why hopes from outside Russia that a simple change of leadership will begin a new era are misplaced. Needs to be read through Twitter as it has embedded media so a C&P isn't much use
The problem is not in Putin. The problem is in the quasi monarchic political structure of Russia. Therefore, this problem can not be solved by changing Putin to "someone better". It can be solved only by dismantling the system of imperial power entirely
