Wgtn win it 36-31 after an exciting finish.

Good to see Sam Darry back, btw.

Wellington are a pain in the arse team, just never going away and taking the win.

Grace scored a super try from the back of the scrum but was sloppy with the ball in hand as you say

Couldn't help but notice some Cantab scamp firmly holding Brad Shields onto the side of the scrum as Grace broke away. Shields looked pissed afterwards.

I would have been at Eden Park for the match in 1980, a mate of mine was skipper of the Auckland team so I used to watch all home games.

I know that if I were living in NZ, I would be attending as many NPC games as possible, while watching SR on tv.
Ditto. I'm bemused that a rugby mad nation appears to have lost interest in its own domestic comp.
You're quoting an article from 2 years ago.

Why are you mounting this agenda? Why try to spin this the way you are?
Sorry to say I told you so but:

I've actually started a thread on that review Torq, if you'd like to get into a bit of analysis on it all.

Was thinking of doing the same: we are in trouble. Eng, Wales and Aus all have very deep problems. Even in Fra the health of the game is unclear and heavily contested.

Well nobody picked that in the FR. Hawkes really under performing the sum of their parts whereas Northland have got their arses into gear.

Canterbury vs Taranaki kicking off shortly.

Really looking forward to this one. Suspect Canterbury will be too strong up front, per usual. Darry back starting beside Romano, Moody at loosehead, and an all-star loose trio of Harmon, Christie and Grace.

Also really keen to see how Alex Harford goes at 10. A very talented young player, who's getting a rare start with Burke's move to fullback. Hope he makes the most of it.
