Dickwella’s bee sting to the back of his neck is affecting his brain: he’s constantly appealing for LBW when the ball hits the bat alone

Not very impressed with de Kock's captaincy here.

Partnership is 36 runs off 29 balls.

Wicket seems to be misbehaving a little.

Elgar and vd Dussen both depart with the score on 218.

Strangle down the leg side, now the wicket is misbehaving? Sorry boet, that's just a poor shot.

Not sure I approve of this disingenuous posting style of yours.

Faf departs.

Sorry, Mr. Expert, but I'm watching the ball spit up off a length.

I wasn't referring to the strangle down the leg side that claimed Rassie.

Soft cricket from the Proteas. Had a foot on their throat with a great chance to kill the game, but is now letting them back in.

Asitha Fernando with a nasty bouncer into Ngidi's helmet. I hope Lungi has a few quiet words to Nortje when it's our turn to bowl or even better, crank his own pace up a few km/h and return the favour.

England matches in Sri Lanka in doubt
England are nervously awaiting the results of fresh Covid-19 tests in Sri Lanka on Tuesday after Moeen Ali emerged as a positive case and also forced teammate Chris Woakes into isolation as a close contact.
Moeen’s result was detected during a round of PCR testing that took place upon arrival at Hambantota airport on Sunday morning. The all-rounder, who is asymptomatic, is now required to isolate for 10 days under protocols agreed with the Sri Lankan government and cannot emerge until 13 January.

It's hard to think of a dumber remark than this one.

Firstly, it's an LBW decision and, no matter how plumb it may look to the naked eye, there is a chance that ball tracking may show it to be missing.

And secondly, there are three reviews left and seven wickets down.

Why would you save the review? For what purpose would you forgo asking the third umpire for another look?

Considering he missed the ball by 2 inches in the first test and walked without a review and following that with a review of a plumb decision in the second test, I would say you have not a lot of evidence to back you up.

I have not been as active on the cricket fred as in the past. It seems I have a lot of work in front of me, helping my fellow SA posters.

Sri Lanka 5 runs ahead with 6 wickets in hand. Can't see this test heading to day 4. Would like to see us getting the wickets before the lead get to 120-150, we need to show killer instinct and finish teams off.
