Given the age of the airframes and the mileage on them, plus the complexities around repair and restoration, even some of the planes that were only slightly damaged could be out of action long term.

Also, what can't be seen from satellite are the micro-damage impacts from shrapnel from the destroyed aircraft

It's possible the damaged list is double

Saw this story
Turkmenistan said it had significantly reduced a gas fire that has been raging for half a century at a site dubbed the "Gateway to Hell".

The fire has been burning in the Karakum desert since 1971, when Soviet scientists accidentally drilled into an underground pocket of gas and then decided to ignite it.

Another nail in the coffin of the Orc arms exports industry !

Even if they could make them, who wants to buy an air superiority fighter that loses in a fight to a fighter a generation+ older ?

Only reason China wants them is to reverse engineer and then improve the technology.

Another short video, showing the journey of one of the spider web drones from hibernation to explosion !

and a great summary of why this attack has not just Orcsville shit scared, but every other Country with strategic weapons

If I were Taiwan I'd be buying warehouses etc around China, & putting thousands of drones in place to unleash, not after, but the minute they even suspect that an invasion would be launched !

A new Ukrainian ballistic missile successfully passed tests in May, covering nearly 300 km and destroying a Russian command post, says military expert Valentin Badrak. The missile is now entering serial production, featuring a warhead weighing over 400 kg—significantly more powerful than comparable systems.

Just don't get this. Has any war in the last 100 years been won by hammering civilians? London blitz stiffened resolve against the Germans and the allies bombing campaign didn't do much to weaken German resolve either.

Humans understand this, & animals do too; unfortunately the creatures that started this war are below animals.

Have to point out the allies killed around half a million German civilians in air raids. British civilian dead in the blitz was about 50,000

Not condoning it BUT you refer to Allied bombing compared to British fatalities. Germany had killed more than those solely British civilians already in the course of its march through Europe... and the bombing was a hammer blow at the closing stages of a long drawn out war.

Putin seeks to depopulate in order to take territory.

I know, just pointing out that we did carry out some pretty indiscriminate bombing campaigns. But our civilian population wasn't hit nearly as badly as some; 5-6 million polish civilians, 9-10 million Soviet Union, 2-3 million Germans.

It's part of the peace process... but seriously it is. Russia putting pressure on Ukraine to come to favourable terms. Russian standard operating procedure anywhere they can inflict leverage. Go figure.

Quite aware of the discrepancy but they are worth presenting as two separate examples. Essentially killing civilians is useless unless you're also degrading their military capability also.

Brutalising civilians is about the limit of Russian capabilities these days.

✈️🇺🇦 Ukraine unexpectedly wins air battle, F-16 shoots down Russian Su-35, — BILD

The battle took place over northeastern Ukraine. Ukrainian Air Force sent a fighter jet to attack Russian positions in the Kursk region. In response, the Russians raised an Su-35.

However, the Russian pilot was ambushed because a Swedish Saab 340 AWACS aircraft took off with the F-16, find Russian aircraft 300 km from the border, transmitted the coordinates to the F-16 pilot.

The American fighter fired an AIM-120 missile, and the Su-35 was shot down 16 km from the border near Korenevoye in the Kursk region.

Indeed, the Swedish AWACS system, which can detect Russian aircraft hundreds of kilometers away, neutralized the advantage that the radars on the Russian Su had in terms of range.

🇱🇹🇩🇪 Lithuania has announced plans to locally assemble Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks in partnership with German defense giant KNDS.

This was announced on June 10, 2025, by Lithuanian Minister of National Defence Dovilė Šakalienė, who stressed that this step is an important part of the country's defence strategy and industrial development.

KNDS representatives will arrive in the coming weeks to finalize the details of tank assembly in Lithuania (without specifying the level of localization, but probably with large-unit assembly) with the involvement of local enterprises to ensure maximum localization of production.

Local assembly of the Leopard 2A8 will not only speed up and reduce the cost of deploying German tanks, while simultaneously improving logistics, but will also position Lithuania as a potential center for the production and maintenance of armored vehicles in the Baltic region.

The Leopard 2A8, developed by KNDS, is the most advanced modification of the Leopard 2, featuring reinforced composite armor, a 120mm smoothbore gun, an advanced fire control system, increased mobility and the installation of the Israeli EuroTrophy active protection system.

What's the estimate ?, 40% KIA, and then the rest poor buggers with bits blown off, massive brain injuries etc, etc.

The KIA ratio is now much higher in 2025 with the purely infantry assaults. As much as 70 to 80% for the meat waves. No armored protection. Drone operators finish off the wounded. The wounded are not recovered as too risky. And poor medical support to the meat wave attackers.

The discrepancy between bodies of KIA returned in the latest exchange is pretty stark alright.

I'm not surprised over the KIA ratio either; the latest "tactic", if you can even call it that by the Orc commanders of sending in attacks on motorbikes & unarmored civilian vehicles, into a battle environment where an Orc soldier can't take a shit without ten Ukrainian FPVs knowing about it, & deciding whether they will drop a grenade on him before or after he wipes !

There are dozens of compilation videos out there showing the Ukrainians being utterly ruthless in exterminating squads of injured Orcs after their transport has been destroyed.

I think I've stopped wondering if Putin is protecting his remaining MBTs & IFVs, so he can try some 2nd big attack, & now I just think he's channeling his inner Stalin, & just thinks sending meat wave after meat wave can carry on indefinitely, because nothing with rouse the civilian population & make them realize it's all his fever dream of a new Russian Empire 2.0

The MBT/IFV issue is one of force preservation. They've reached the bottom of the barrel for the old Soviet era stockpiles. Putin may very well be in the dark about the true picture, but the brass in the army isn't.

Just watching the Senate's interview with Hegseth.

Bad news. Not only is there no request for further aid for Ukraine intended by the US Defense Department in 2025 but they are expecting to withhold the final $3.8 billion of Biden's approved funds.

Hopefully then the EU will finally get off their arses and release the funds to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets.

What the Trump admin says vs what the Trump admin does #437739683

Although US Secretary Hegseth acknowledged that Russia is the aggressor and affirmed U.S. support for Ukraine, he emphasized that the Trump administration’s priority is to pursue negotiations rather than secure a clear military victory. He avoided explicitly endorsing a Ukrainian win, instead framing peace—regardless of whether it satisfies all parties—as the ultimate goal. In contrast, Senator McConnell voiced concern about the consequences of such an approach, warning: “We don’t want a headline that says ‘Russia wins, America loses.’”
