Just finish the fücking books.
A feast of lemon cakes and a dance with pease pudding. The last two books desperately needed editing.

Even though you know what's about to happen it's still quite impactful when it does.

S01 was a bit flabby but they've tightened things up considerably so far, been quietly impressed given the lack of source material. Assume GRRM is leaning heavily on the script.

Only trouble is that the characters getting killed are the interesting ones.

Overall, there's no characters anywhere near as good or interesting or 3D as GOT.

Not the same, absolutely. A hundred tonnerth of extras and spectacle doesn't come close to compare

And although I've avoided reading up on the backstory you kinda get the impression everybody really does die this time. But enjoying for what it is. S7 and 8 of thrones almost put me off the damn thing for good.

Bit like GOT, war of the roses is a big influence here.

It's the non-Targs that I'm looking forward to, like say the Starks.

Not a good look for him. There's plenty of iffy stuff with HOTD but this is not it.

At this rate it'll end up being completed by a generative AI instead
