Would Conway have made the test team if fit?

His debut double test century at lords puts him in a strong position in the team sheet.

We probably won't get a first innings lead, but at least our bowlers will be well rested.

Craps doing well here on a low and slow sub continent track. Deficit still too much at the moment though.

This game was lost when India won the toss and batted.
NZ doing well to be 65 runs behind, but, judging from the way this pitch is behaving, the game is all but lost.

Cricinfo seems to think that the only thing threatening an Indian win is the time the NZ lower order is taking up.
Importantly, he and the lower order are chipping away at time for India to force a result. I think ideally India would want a minimum of 100 overs to bowl in the second dig on this pitch
Can't say I disagree, except in that 100 overs seems to be overkill, but it does smack of arrogance.

Jamieson gets his 50th wicket in his 9th test, easily the quickest by a Kiwi. Taken with his first delivery.

The Commentators were saying the "Indian bowlers bowled beautifully".
My own feeling was that, after Latham's dismissal, the pitch was a lot harder to bat on, which is confirmed when I see the ball misbehaving off the pitch in Jamieson's over.
India are going to have to knuckle down here, but the thing in their favour is that they are not batting last.

I think 200 will be a hard chase on this pitch for the final innings.

You think?
I reckon you'll struggle to get to 100.
You were goosed the moment you lost the toss. You've done better than I would have expected, but 50 runs is a pretty big first innings concession.

Ashwin is a bit of a shit for running on the pitch, isn't he? Batting or bowling he is going to scuff it up.

He spent a lot of time ‘discussing’ it with the umpire

He's having a great test - another one strangled down the leg side.
India well on top. Gonna take a huge batting effort to salvage a draw from here.
