Watched the highlights of the weekend's game. Goodness me what awful rugby. Almost every try from a rolling maul
It was dire. Just to illustrate how bad it was, here is a tweet gushing about the performance of the massively obese Lions prop who was also the captain.
Also the 68kg Tristan Leyds was the stand out WP backline player.
How can two individuals who are so physically unsuited to pro rugby retain their contracts? That they can survive and thrive at this level just shows how poor the competition is.

Rugby is a game intended for all shapes and sizes.

Roelof Smit on trial at WP. The Stormers now have some great depth in 6. Xaba and Theunissen have improved a lot, Deon Fourie will probably start on saturday.
Credit to WP again 12 PoCs in their playing squad.

Smit's career has been killed by injuries. Finally he's at a great union, let's see what he can do.

WP in for a tough game vs the Bulls if you go player by player.
WP vs Bulls, the biggest game in South African rugby.
Used to be ages ago.......When you were a lighty still.....
You just don't like being left out do you?
For me it was always the Bulls but I developed a gripe with WP when Helgard Muller put Jan Harm van Wyk away for that winning try in the 1997 CC final only for that twat Mark Lawrence to call it back for a "forward pass" I was in st8 back then and remember watching the game with a bunch of school friends a the local rec club that we frequently visited. There was two vis vreeters in our group and they pilled on the salt thick.
But it was short lived as I remember it was already back to the Bulls by 2004.

The saaks have to earn it. They are well on their way, but not there yet.
Sharks are fine....not even thinking about them

I just cant muster up hate for the sharks. My one uncle was a big sharks supporter and I was very close with him. Anyways the Freestate spoiled the Sharks chances to many times for a grudge to build up.

I give you this one.
Was it 1990? 1991? I was living in Bloem then.
It is a very bad thing that he did but Brian was treated as a hero.
The NTVL then went on to win the CC if I remember.

91" We won that game only to lose to NTVL in the semis even though we beat them in an earlier game in Bloem.

And the scoreboard had you losing to the Freestate that day and NTVL the next week.

explain this pls
The TMO need to explain the Griqua 10s no tackle and he stil dish out a penalty for clearly a touch rugby no tackle. He killed the game with penalties every second.
